I'm wondering if anyone uses offline advertising methods to promote their online businesses? I've read it can be effective and I'm considering business cards and flyers, but can any of you tell me if you're using offline methods and give me some more ideas? Looking forward to hearing more.
Did a campaign over the Xmas period for a UK retailer, they had 21 Bricks and Mortar stores throughout the UK and a new online webshop. We promoted the store using an AdWords campaign and saw a even distribution of traffic accross the UK. The difference came with converstions, more people purchased online that were close to an offline store. On this basis we looked at some free PR and product listing in a local magazine (100 miles away from a store) and again saw a spike in converstions. I think people still trust offline promotional material greater than online messages.
