    Hello Digital Point members:

    How are you doing?

I am thinking about dipping my toes (and money) into an offline newspaper classified project however this is a brand new venture for me so I definitely want to have all of my ducks in a row before I invest any cash in this.

Could you please share your experiences, strategies, tips, pros and cons concerning off line classified advertising?

Your help will be greatly appreciated!

    Thank you so much.)

Before you advertise, get others to critique your ads. Ask them if they were interested in such a product, would the ad get their interest.

Ask the staff at the paper for advice. They may have a lot of experience and can offer you some tips.

Ask the paper if they have discounts, or specials as you do not have much money. These days the papers are losing ad revenue, and many of them are cutting their rates.

Make your ad that a ten-year old can spot, and understand. Many readers have an attention span of a child.

Leave out sell words like "amazing," limited supply," and overused lame words like that.

with any classifieds you what just enough in there to demand action, never try to sell your offer in your ad

this is the biggest mistake everyone does with classifieds your sales page is setup to sell the prospect
