When there are local events going on, try to place your business somewhere there thru advertising, a boothe, whatever. Any exposure helps. There are many opportunities everywhere, but you have to actively look for them. Some of them are very cheap, too.
my industry is a small section of the insurance industry. most people do not need it, nor have they ever heard of it. Therefore, ads on a vehicle will do me no good. However, there have been some good ideas which I will make use of in the following order... 1) Advertise in industry trade magazines 2) Network locally w/ specific associations and chamber of commerce 3) Direct mail (it may not work too well for many, but being that I am in such a specific industry it could work well) lets keep this rolling...any other ideas to implement? (thanks for the input thus far everyone)
Some really interesting stuff posted here. Even though it was posted more than 5 years ago, still completely relevant and so glad that I found it.
If you are looking for offline ideas, phone calls, leaflet distribution, and face to face meeting with company execs is the way to go
Too much work. Just hire a stripper to run across the lawn during superbowl with your company website address tattoed on her back.
usually flyers work very well. You can get like 10,000 printed out for $700 and you can distribute them yourself or pay some kid to do it.
