Now everyone seems to be talking about "offline marketing." What are some good ideas to get offline businesses interested in hiring you as their consultant to help them break into the online marketplace?
Here are the traditional ones: -Cold calling (if you are good at it you can make a killing) -Email (not very effective but can be done in bulk) -Direct email (more effective than the previous one) -Face to face meeting (you have to go through the gatekeeper but it's the best way to sell) Hope that helps
I always pitch direct mail to them. No matter what their excuses are for not using direct mail, I still pitch it to them because it simply works. You will have to tweak it a lot to make a direct mail campaign work though.
send a bunch of emails to potential prospects. then follow up with each of them one by one. makes your "cold call" a little "warm". gives you an opening at least. "did you receive my email?"
What can I say, online should be great then only should you move to a little bit of offline marketing.
