Offline Marketing for small websites

I know that major websites do lots of offline advertising, but is it possible for a small site to do advertising and marketing offline? The best I've done is write my site on a bathroom stall, but that's all. I've thought about a magazine, but that's so expensive, and doesn't deliver any SEO value, which I think about a lot. Has anyone here tried it (with a small site)?

Funny, so when people go to take their crap, they find out about a new website :p . Anyways, offline advertising could work, but you need something catchy or something unique so it sticks to the person's memory.

What makes it stick is repetitiveness, one ad hardly works. It takes usually 27 times to finally stick. Learned that from a marketing book.

Grocery stores, Walmart, coffee shops. Lots of local hangouts have places for your stuff to hang.

I think if you have a very specific niche (like some people here have hobbies websites) you can do a lot of offline marketing especially if there is a local club where you can promote your website. Manazines and newspapers specific to your niche are also a good idea.

hello kaabi I remember you from TT forums,

well for offline marketing its not hepas effective on a low budget.

the best things I can think off for your site are:
    *word of mouth advertising
    *pamphlet drop around your area.
*posting up notices in school sin your local area.

small things liek this could work in the long run.

    good luck..

If you have virtual capital to support you, do it without hesitation. But if it's your own money, take care.

Best advertisement to promote a website is internet. Offline ad will only promote your brand. It has not too much help in indexing, ranking, and even traffic.
