You can get a lot of traffic with offline advertising. No, I'm not talking about TV, radio and newspaper advertising. For most of websites this kind of advertising is too expensive. You can get a lot of ‘offline’ visitors for about 10$. You have just write a website review and print about 100 copies. Than you paste these papers on a lot of places and wait to offline visitors.

If you have a lot of traffic and a lot of ‘fens’, buy some T-shirts with your logo and URL and try to sell it on your website. You can give this T-shirts to ‘top posters’ and other visitors will have a motivation to post.

    What worked for you?

Selling T-shirts could be a good idea but I could see them being hard to sell until you get a decent amount of quality traffic.

We have good results with an email list which we send out semi monthly to web site clients and past service inquiries. We include links back to our website to entice readers to click and visit. Most importantly we send out some type of news or (useful information) that will entice our readers to click.

    This equates to increased traffic.
