My experience with offline marketing which yielded positive results are somewhat old fashioned. Business cards and the ablility to talk. But what usually seems to really work best is finding companies locally, scheduling 10-15 minutes worth of time with the CEO's or presidents along with their marketing person if possible and do a presentation. Your standard fare is best left behind. Business card, brochures and the like. So, yes its possible to get ROI back out of the mediums you mentioned.

What type of product/service are you selling?

flyers: You'll need to send out more than one.

radio: Can be expensive. Totally worthless if not done just right.

    newspapers: Depends on product/service.

magazines: Can be expensive but if directed to your target audience it can be very profitable.

I think offline marketing is good during starting phase of your business, if properly targeted it can provide you instant result and good base on your local market, but in long term as you grow you've to depend upon online marketing.

For offline marketing I would suggest to look for cost effective method for your ad campaign through ad on magazine, yellow pages etc depends upon your targeted audience and your product/service. Local networking can be also effective for getting good response.

It is the bottom link in my sig.

A betting system, i know a lot of people on here dont like my product for one reason or another but i know that it is a worthwhile product and it does do what it says on the tin, unlike a lot of other betting guides.

What im planning is to buy a mailing list of people who have shown an interest in gambling products and send between 500-1000 flyers out to start with, I am also placing an ad in a national trade magazine in the business opportunities section (there are already a few gambling systems in the but none that guarantee 100% profits).

I will be doing other things but this is a start at least.

The way i see it the other betting guides being sold in the mag must be making money as they have had there ads in for years and they wouldnt be doing it if it wsnt profitable.

Do you think il have much responce from this start-up

Given the product, I'd say radio and magazine ads would be your best bet.

You think radio could work for this rob.

Its expensive but maybe if i could get slots in the adverts between big matches or when the horse racing is being covered.

Do you not think send flyers out would get a good responce rate with this.

I must have phoned a tipping line or something years ago and i still get things sent to me even now promoting betting guide and tipping service so there must be something in it.

I think you'll have to buy a lot of time. I hear crap like this driving home each day from work. They've been doing it for years on Friday afternoons and before Monday Night Football games. So it must be working!

I suppose if you can get a good list it might be worth a try. Women usually get the mail and I doubt they're going to take you up on your offer. And I also doubt they'd forward it on to their husbands. ;)

yeh see your point, im gonna try it anyway with just 500 flyers or so.

If i get a 1% responce rate im in profit (just about) so its worth a try.

Uv gotta take risks to find things out in my book

I see a lot of TV ads for stuff like you site. I've said this before a lot of people automatically assume TV airtime is too expensive, but many times they are not.

I don't know what the air time is for you in your area, but a couple of years ago you could buy 30 second ads on networks like TNT and E! for around $18 per local area. I haven't seen a price sheet in a while though. Those prices were for an unspecified time slot during decent hours with no bulk purchase neccessary. Of course if you wanted a specific time you'd pay more or if you bought a lot of air time you'd pay less. Some networks were a lot more expensive, too.

Of course you have to find someone to make a commercial, but if you shop around you can get one done for hardly nothing.

I am about to start running ads in my area church bulletins. I am catholic and we get weekly bulletins that have ads on the back. Every church I have been to makes it a point to hand them out as people are leaving. There is always important information in the bulletins so they are read. The price I have gotten is around $400 dollars a year per church and the listing gets put in every bulletin for the year. I thought it sounded pretty good. I have about 400-500 members at my church alone. You can check out the agency that does the bulletin at ww.trinpub.org I think this is the web address anyways its trinity publications. Hope this helps you guys!
