Offline ads, where is the best place to sell them online?

I'm in a unique situation to be able to offer ads on my mobile business that I just purchased but I'm looking for a way to market that nationally instead of just locally. I have a specialty drink and mobie dj entertainment trailer that I am readying for the '09 season and I am going to offer ads on the customer side counter ala place mat type advertising like you see in restaurants. These will be in 1" blocks and Im settled in at $199 a block as my surveying has shown that is a good price point. Im also looking at doing a prelaunch special as well. ive gotten a tremendous response locally and have already sold a bunch but wanted to be able to sell out the lot quicker so that I can continue to focus on my other marketing efforts.

What would be a good marketing method to go about this? I don't know about the ebay option but I have thought of it. I've also thought about a possible joiint venture. Somebody mentioned the USA Today Paper, but I was looking more for being able to do this online. Basically the ads can be any product or service as long as they are considered family friendly. I'm going to incorporate the print ads with my website so that people can go there and print off coupons, visit those websites and what not so that those business's that advertise get the best of both worlds. The ads can be bigger than 1" if they want to purchase 2 or more, and I'm sure the prelaunch special I do will help that as well. My target audience will generally be a younger to a more sophisticated person as that's what my target drinks and entertainment run. Besides festivals and local events I will also be doing some private events as well.

    Thanks for any suggestions,

    -Bob

    Hey Bob,

I am not sure that the information that I am sharing with you will help. This is an area that is out of my realm, but marketing is still marketing.

This means determining your market (your niche), i.e. who will be likely to buy or be looking for or looking to buy in the near future, etc. your product (ad space), and where can you find them on line.

The "where you can find them" is why you might have been recommended to look at a site like USA Today, Perhaps a home page type site such as Yahoo, AOL, MSN might work? I am not so sure about Ebay. But go where you think your audience (market) will be and test the water. Good Luck.

    Much Success,
    George Pierce

That's the hard part as my niche can be diverse at times especially with my business being mobile. One day I could be at a corporate event and the next could be a family festival type of event. I was also thinking about testing the waters with Google adwords. There seems to be all sorts of places to advertise just for online ads but so far nothing worthwhile for print ads.
    I'll keep searching.

    Thanks,

    -Bob
