They look pretty on par with AdSense (except no "Ads by Yahoo", which will be good if they keep it off) but I'm really concerned with the relevancy. All I'm seeing are ads about learning spanish. By the way, that site also has Google AdLinks on it on the bottom left corner.
I 99.9% sure the ads aren't contextual. I *heard* they were based on viewing habits, but that could well be BS.
Yeah, it really is looking like it isn't contextual. Everytime I refresh that page it displays completly different ads, not at all related to the subject matter. I hope they do -something- to make them relevant.
If it *is* based on viewing habits (Of which I have no proof), then with any luck the CTR's shouldn't be too bad (Although nowhere near as high as Google I should think).
Lets see how which of this 2 biggies make Publishers more Happy!! Its surely gonna be battle of titans. Hope to use Yahoo! "still beta" program in future to try out wat works best for my site.
It will be interesting to see what Yahoo! will come up with, and also how Google is going to counteract it I wonder if Google execs are running around in panic, preparing for war. And when M$ comes out with theirs, it will be even more fun. Something like 80-85% of people still use IE as their web browser. I think they may use that to their advantage.
Yeah, wait til the next version of Windows and Internet Explorer 7. I wonder what Microsoft will do... He he Pete
I'm not investing in Vista; as one of my friends so aptly put it, it's XP with windowblinds. But I'm sure others will. Sometimes I wonder if MS's capital and influence could let it strongarm its way into any arena.
Isn't the next Windows will be fully 64-bit compatible? I know that there is XP 64 but that was built on top the 32 bit windows. I think I read somewhere that the next windows will be 64bit from the ground up Can't wait to put my Athlon 64 to full potential.
I'm feeling the same way, especially if the Y-AS is a piece of crap, or so TOS restrictive it makes G-AS look great, it's going to be a big let down. later, tom
If Yahoo! was wise, they would talk to some webmasters making aroung $1000.00 per month on Adsense, I believe this niche is where Google's bread and butter lies.
