Don't know if it's been covered but http://www.seochat.com/seo-tools/future-pagerank/ see your new pr here
Not really, pagerank is only a rank, i have my own way of gaining traffic (eg. Links and reviews from websites).
I see what you mean now. I went to a few of the pagerank check sites and found that some of my sites have jumped from 0 to 4 on some and still not up to date on others. I have seen a good jump on alot of my sites. I wonder how long it takes to propogate to whole system. Kevin
Hello Weirfire Quote from SEO Newsletter I received this morn "Is Pagerank Still Important? The short answer is yes - PageRank has always been important to Google. Naturally they couldn't go into detail, but it is as I suspected. Google still uses the algorithm to help determine rankings." Do rankings not affect traffic? cheers dave http://free-karaoke-downloads.8k.com
All my pages with less BL are having a higher PR now. Those which stay same in BLs are staying with the same PR as before.
Well my main site stayed the same, but my blog did go up to a 4. I really stopped caring about PR a long time ago, but with the pain caused by this update, I might as well. MSN - PR2 Alexa went back up to an 8, as it was a 0 a few days ago.
That newsletter is wrong. PR does not directly affect rankings. However linking itself can affect rankings. That newsletter is trying to simplify it into a direct correlation which is wrong. A PR3 can outrank a PR7 for a given keyword due to a long list of factors. PS. You can add your signature through your Control Panel rather then adding it manually
My main site went from PR4 to PR5 (was expected) My PR7 is still PR7 across the board - I still wonder how it went there in the first place My game site (famous game-world.co.uk) stepped back to PR2 from PR4 but it was expected too. My family site (home page is login page, no external pages) - no evident BL went from PR1 to PR4... My backlink increased by a minimum of 50%. So I'm another happy camper.
I checked at http://www.pageranktool.net/ and WOW I can't believe it, my site is PR3 in less than 2 months!
Also remember the quality and relevance of the links you place. A link on a gaming site when your site is about computers most likely will not help you or help you very little. Make sure to link to sites with a higher pagerank than yours that is relevant. Kevin
I've had a increase in PR for the sites I've actually done work on (drop in BL's on 1 though). What is odd, a site with not a lot of marketing done on it, the main page went to PR2, but just about every other page is now PR3
I have one domain that is only a few months old. I've been waiting to get a PR, and I just got it, PR6! I don't get how that happens, when I have some domains that are a few years old, and just getting a PR5. I'll never understand Google.
I'm stable at 6 now...I've been waiting a long time to get from 5 to 6 and now I have to set my sites on a #7 which only a few other baseball sites have. Now if I could just figure out where my indexed pages have gone to.
that sounds about right, given that my blog which (a) i started in september, (b) i update only about once a week, (c) has only three inbound links from obscure blogs, two of which are even newer than my own, and (d) which gets no or minimal traffic (duh) went from zero to 5. meanwhile, my well-established massive portal with tons and tons of original content and gazillions of inbound links (both artificial and authentic) is stuck at 4 - and confined to page 25 of the serps to boot! something is very obviously screwed at google these days.
I just checked Mcdars and all but 2 data centers report the new PR and all of them report the new backlink count. All the data centers are in sync. (except the 2 showing no PR) for PR and backlinks. Mind you, with google you never know.
