Why did you create this guide?
I created this guide because I believe that the guitar niche is utterly lacking in selection. Jamorama is completely over-saturated with affiliates and only targets complete beginners. I figured it was time for something new.

    Why sell this guide?
The target audience is substantial. There exists an enormous untapped market of guitar players who have already picked up beginner guides and give up after learning the basics. This guide is meant to propel the beginner into a more advanced level. The sales pitch means to encourage the beginner to step up by showing specifically what they will be able to do. The guide itself satisfies that need.

What is the commission and how long will it stay at that rate?
The commission is currently 75% and will stay that way.

    What about longevity?
This guide will be a success for years to come. The market of people who are staying beginners in guitar is not declining but increasing. Most people who learn guitar learn it by their own means.

How well does the sales page convert?
No official tests have been run on the effectiveness of the current sales page. I am waiting for affiliates, who know how to promote a product, to bring in traffic so I can experiment with different sales type and incentives.

Can I get a test copy of the guide?
If you PM me with your plan of how you will promote this product, I will email you a review copy.

What is the quality of the guide?
I will note that I spend a good deal of time writing this guide, assuring high quality and low refund rates. I began writing the guide last summer and didn't finish until recently.

The product was approved by CB a few days ago. I am opened to suggestions to make the affiliate page more useful, and the sales page will continually be revised to assure the best conversion rates.

Ideal promotion methods: #1 Guitar Websites, #2 Ezine articles, #3 PPC campaigns. That's just my speculation.

Word to the wise - There is only so many affiliates who can get rich off a single project and it's usually those who have been with a product since the beginning that make it.

Good Luck! PM me or post here if you have any questions.

You're leaving the door open to drop the commission to 60% AFTER people post all their articles and build a campaign for you? Really?

I totally agree with apples2, this was not smart move from your side.

On the other hand, the landing page looks good, except the comparison of car and guitar...which is not that common to me at least. And if I was a guy who wants to buy this as a bonus I would like more song book then having two bonuses with exactly same content.

@ apples and canteric: Ok, if it is a major selling point for affiliates, I will lock the commission at 75%. I've always been a believer in high commission rates.

@ Capler: never heard of him.

    @cscott

I managed to salvage my thumb drive and I have just finished reading the review copy you sent me.

Here are my thoughts on the product:

First off, there are a few spelling errors (very few, 2-3). You may want to tweak that.

Secondly, this product is essentially a guide to playing arpeggios on the guitar. There really isn't anything more than that.

Also, I found the book to be a little bland. It was quite wordy and there weren't many pictures, diagrams, or anything of the sort. I think you could've put something in that was a bit more of a visual aid than just the tabbed exercises.

With the exercises I think you could really make a MUCH better product if you would take the time to develop simple videos for each exercise where you play the exercise slowly first and have footage of your fingering of the chord itself and also close-up footage of you picking out the arpeggio to really explain the picking pattern and help keep interest in the guide.

The audio examples were a nice touch, but you should really aim at putting up videos as this is really directed at a beginner guitarist audience.

I would also like to say that, being a guitarist of 7 years myself, I don't agree with the downplaying of scales. Scales are an essential part to learning melody on the guitar which is something you focused on a lot through the ebook.

As far as quality I'd rate this guide 5/10.

It really has potential and if you were to add the videos and a few more illustrations I would certainly rate this product an 8.5/10.

Adding the videos could boost your conversion rates considerably as well because you could add teaser footage to your sales page which has always proven to be a great selling point.

Don't take this as an attack! I'm just giving constructive criticism. The actual text content is great. You just need more eye catchers!

Thanks for checking the guide out. I value your opinion. I need to go out and purchase a quality web cam so I can make those videos and add them to the guide :).
