Our one affiliate mentioned on another forum that If you get "Upload Finished??" error please wait for some time and your file will be uploaded, don't close the page because he tested it several times that file successfully transfer to the account.

 

That's exactly what happens... The uploads are going on, but instead of the box with the progress bar and the estimated speed and time, I get a box saying "Upload Finished??". I could see the loading mouse cursor ( )when hovering over the page, so I waited and after a while the download link appeared and the file got into my account.
Why is this happening? What's wrong with the upload box?

 

This is happening due to the recoding of site.

the files were of smaller size ranging from 500kb - 8mb, direct/live download links from our own server, tested it on other servers worked good only MegaShare throws prob

Well it's a great tools for traffic traffic and optimizing one's earnings. Services like uploading.com have a geo-ip&ref. tool that shows the uploader from which site the downloader followed a link and their countries. However since most other OCHs aint having such tools the smart uploader has to copy files and target 'em ;-). As for copying as a means of back-up... well depends on the service: if the service has hash value recognizing implemented, well than their is no point in making copies for a back-ups.

BTW currently it's hardly possible to download and it doesn't matter if one has a premium access or not.

 

That is not true. Hotfile has has value recognizing implemented, but when I make copies and the copies get reported/deleted, the original file remains in my account.
Imagine how many users upload the same files (latest movie releases etc.). If one of these files got reported, then - by your logic - it would mean that all users who have uploaded that file would loose it from their accounts. It doesn't happen like that.

hitman I don't get what the pm is for ? Is it to those who might have had higher no.of downloaders ? I haven't shared my stuff much earlier and I have around 49 - 50 odd downloaders and 500 odd downloads I guess

 

I think Hitman is referring to anyone who thinks they may be at the $20 threshold for payments. So probably anyone to come forwards potentially with 2k+ (or potentially less for very high quality downloads) unique downloads. Whilst payments are being rolled out. He is offering to push you to the front of the queue I believe. Also it would be interesting to hear, from any affiliates, how download numbers compare to other hosts you have worked with.

Upload should be fine now, pls come back with any feedback regarding this.
Whilst downloads numbers are being reported much higher than other hosts we understand there is an intermittent error whilst downloading for some. We are trying to get to the bottom of this and come up with a fix asap.

Meanwhile, we are all hands on deck to launch V2, still, by the end of November, and whilst most has been done. We would still like more feedback. Or any special requests! Whilst we obviously can't make any promises on special requests they will ALL be forwarded for consideration to the dev team. Also dev work will be ongoing after the launch to make Megashare your ultimate file host.

In rapidshare I had more than 10k downloads in past month even though I haven't posted any content. Users haven't reported any sort of probs or reported links of megashare I have used till date. Just did 2 days of posting on 2 forums - not hit threads (didn't to get hit record, wanted to check members feedback), when checked now got 48 uniques and 462 downloads, so not bad at all.

just checked remote upload for 1 file and it worked, hope it will work for my remaining uploads as well

The suggestion which I would really love would be : Mass Remote Upload, currently 1 file after other upload is consuming lots of time.

Well, I got my first payment... and I can honeslty say I'm disappointed with the results... :-\

$40 for over 8000 downloads is almost twice as little as I usually make with Hotfile. I'm expecting a lot of improvements in V2 in order to convince me to keep using Megashare. Not being able to see your statistics kind of sucks.

 

We are so sorry you are disappointed. Megashare V2 will be designed to maximize and show your earnings. In the meantime, if you don't mind, we would be very interested to know like for the like the number of downloads you have received during the same period from the same files with hotfile?

@Gengar its strange thing i received 49$ with 7425 Unique downloads not sure what happened to your account but as i can guess your most downloads are from less paying countries because once i received money less then accepted

Frankly I have to admit I used hotfile just for a short while - wasn't worth it. So I can't really say anything about their practise. However a classic hash code checker like e.g. rapidshare delects all files with the same hash value and even prevents these files with the same hash from being uploaded again. The only way to spread a file then is to change the hash. Maybe hotfile & co give the copies another hash or they work differently.

 

Wouldn't a simple copy button beside each file or tick boxes with select at the bottom be the easiest solution for all of us. Then if my file gets deleted by mistake or it's a special file and I want a back up it's easy solve.
