We have no reason to scam you for 20 bucks when we pay out 200 to some people What you've done is land yourself in a pile of shit in which you thought you could cash out while stinking like shit. I know hotfile has banned remote uploads to several other competitors i.e we CANNOT remote upload our hotfile uploads to other sites.

What I ask is if FILESERVE has finally BANNED HOTFILE too because until a week ago I could remote upload MY FILESERVE UPLOADS to HOTFILE no problem using direct download link, but now I cannot longer do that, one week ago I was able to.

That is why I ask RickyFS if that is the case. I am not crying over it but I want to know if fileserve has banned hotfile too?

shionxx - I think you will find hotfile are the ones who are banning sites remote uploading.

 

I am Fileserve Premium account holder (nice services, by the way). Normally I use Firefox to upload my files. It just occured to me my life would be easier if I tried using an ftp client software. I tried FileZilla. This is the mesage I got:

Error: Critical error
Error: Could not connect to server

Status: Resolving address of ftp.fileserve.com
Status: Connecting to 209.222.12.18:21...
Status: Connection established, waiting for welcome message...
Response: 220 Fileserve FTP Server
Command: USER [My user Name]
Response: 331 Password required for [My User Name]

Response: 530 Login incorrect.
Error: Critical error

I used the Ftp information supplied by Fileserve under "FTP Upload". I used the password Fileserve supplied, even though it differed from my regular password. I even switched from the password supplied to the one I normally use. Still I am getting the critical error message. What am I doing wrong? Or perhaps someone could suggest a better FTP program for me to use - that is, a program other than Filezilla. Will greatly appreciate any input anyone has on my problem. Thanks.

By the way this is the information supplied under the FTP Upload

FTP client settings:

FTP server:ftp.fileserve.com
Port:21
Login:[My user name]
Password:[&&&&&&&&] - this password is different from my login password. I also tried login in with my correct password. Same result

 

I should just change my question as I have tested with other hosts and remote uploading from filserve to a couple other hosts I have tried fails now.

So really RikcyFS just let us know if FILESERVE HAS BANNED remote uploading FROM FILESERVE TO OTHER HOSTS? Thank you.

Using the the direct download link that used to work to remote upload FROM FILESERVE no longer works and on other hosts gives and error trying to fetch the file. And yes I am premium FS user so that is not the issue.

Looks like a remote upload ban war between competitors, why not remove the remote upload option if we the users can no longer use it. Its obsolete now.

Oh well.

 

We haven't banned anyone or anything. You will see that FS => X still works. HF is the one who has banned us. Stop jumping to conclusions.
