Stats are fully back to normal and counting properly.

 

Statistics are wrong!

i can confirm that the statistics are wrong.

i registered on 1dec2010 to fileserve.

From this past 3 days i have uploaded 97 files.

in the my files folder today and now i have way over 110 downloads since 1dec until today.

But when they updated the stats i only got 41 downloads???

how is this posible?

@ rabibih: They're not wrong. 41 completed downloads from unique free users. 110 download attempts/fails/completes/retries/by premium.

in the statistics folder i have 74??

is this enormous difference normal?

in other file sharing sites i dont get this difference ( not even close)

could you look up my acount and see if everything is ok?

Download one file. Wait your 10 minutes again. Download the same file. Wait your 10 minutes again. Download the same file again.

Now, see how many in file manager and how many in stats report

Here is the answer for your question.
We count every successfully completed download. For anonymous and free users that download from Fileserve, we count one unique file per each unique IP counted every 24 hours. This means, that an anonymous or a free user on the same IP, but downloading two different files will count for two qualified downloads.
For premium users that download from FileServe, we count one file per each unique IP counted every 24 hours. This means, that a premium user on the same IP, but downloading two different files will count for one qualified downloads.

244 download total in the filemanager include all the downloads.
74 download in your statistic include only the paid downloads.

The way it's written in bold looks like it means the same thing for premium and non-premium users.

Where's the total downloads figure in filemanager or are you just adding up all the downloads for each file?

Also when a folder is completely removed and files don't show up in DMCA, are the downloads still counted of the files that were in that folder, although can't see the number of downloads its had?

Ok say you have 1 file, 100 unique people downloaded and completed in which 30 of them was Premium members (this is an example everyone):

In file manager manager you see a total of 244 downloads: this includes attempts & fails, completed, and Premium members downloading the file 1,2,3,4,5,6 times.
In stats report you see a total of 100 downloads: Why? Because 30 premiums count as 1 download and the 70 fully completed it.

Is that all clear now?

wow really, glad I found out now, had a few folders removed. Seen that happen to others too hmm

What if the downloads are counted and the folder gets removed a couple days later after its already been totaled up?

Do I need to get my files out the folder of any links to folders I posted now

 

How about giving free users unlimited space?

 

Why Remote upload dont work with megaupload?

@RickyFS - any chance of an uploader like hotfile's for remote uploading? I would like to see the speed that they are uploading at. thanks

 

@RickyFS - can you set uploaded files in manager to appear by date of upload. I have to click it every time to pop up the newest files at top...
