Really? That quick. I have been running my biggest arcade for 8 months now and only really promoting it for 2 with advertising and SEO. I still can't get over 400 UV per day without the advertising.

Well after reading this topic twice (yes, twice!) all the way through, I have decided to create my own Arcade site (or at least give it a go). Just bought the domain name: minglegames.com

Just need to find a decent free arcade script and I shall start it off :)

Hah I don't know if its wise to put out a domain name. Someone might snatch it. But honestly, there are probably better arcade names out there.

Yes there are some good tips on getting a arcade big within a short time.
But offcause you need to invest some money in to it.
But I am sure if you keep promoting your site for 3-4 month for then you should be able to get over the 1000uv per day.

I only have one arcade site at the moment.
Really want to make this one big, already have a steady 800 uv/day organic traffic.
Thanks a lot for this thread as I still need to learn to get more traffic and how to monetize my site.

I know loads have been recommended in this thread but what would you all personally recommend? I might also need to change my host too because my blog gets so much traffic I am going to run out of bandwidth :(

Took me about half hour last night to try and find a half decent games domain which wasn't taken!

That sounds pretty low for 100k uniques per day? only 2000$ your taking about 3 million uniques per month. How where you monetizing?

P.S. congrats on the sale and building up such a big site :D

I would recommended gamesitescript.com its a really good script, and easy to handle. About hosting I use godaddy my self, I thing there prices are really fair.
If you have any question when you are setting your arcade site up, then just contact me and I will give you some good tips.

Why are arcade packs bad? It seems like a fast way to get your arcade site filled with games.

If you run your banner exchange on Godaddy then your in violation of their Terms of Service. Plus, I wouldn't touch Godaddy with a ten foot pole. It is for new web masters that just do not know better. They are so over loaded it isn't funny. Plus, all that extra crap they make you pay for that you do not need. I swear by hostgator. Cheap, reliable, and fast.

    Hi guys,

I'd like to sponsor a few games for my new arcade website. I just wanted to know where to find game designers and how much does a game cost. If you have already bought a game, can you please show it to me and tell me the price so I can get an idea?

    Thanks

I would goto newgrounds, miniclip, and other big web arcades. The dev links are usually embed in the games. You then can email the owns of the websites to see if they created the game and how much they would charge to release one with your link information. Most of the time it can range from $50..$1000 depending on how good the game is and how popular it can become.
