i own a site called snes games and its a blog at the moment. I want to convert it to an flash gaming site but I also want to add a blog ( for serps ). what a good cheap script that i can use
Hi I have a domain which is suitable to start a flash games site with. So I am interested in the options on how do I start one, as well as how can such a site be monetised (apart from AdSense)?
It's pretty easy really, these days you can make arcade sites with wordpress(free) or spend some $$ and get a script like arcadetradescript.com or phparcadescript.com set it up in like 10 minutes with the install instructions and start adding games. Add game packs which can be installed in minutes = hundreds of games, but some are crap. I prefer to upload games 1 by1 with unique descriptions. Then you can use as you said adsense. but there are others like cpmstar, copeac, maxbounty,cpalead the list is endless. Even amazon and bigfishgames.com affiliate programs work.
Wordpress is a good solution but scripts like ATS,GSS and PHPAS can get you going quickly. I also recommend you check out the talkarcades forums. There really helpful if you're new to arcades and want to learn more about traffic trading etc. Good luck, and don't forget if you've got a new arcade submit it to http://www.onlinegamesites.co.uk
I just found this thread, awesome. I am the webmaster of assassinarcade.com which runs on phpas 4 and gamesfiend.com which runs on ATS. I am also a moderator over at arcadewebmasterforum.com. I am starting a new AllTop.com/Popurl.com type of site geared solely towards arcades and arcade related sites and I am inviting all site owners to submit their sites. Site will include arcade reviews so your members can come by and rate your site. articles, webmaster resources, game reviews and a whole lot more. If you have an rss/xml feed for your arcade you will be included in both the all top pages, and review section. If your site has no feed, you will still be included in the review section. I am looking for arcade sites, top sites, webmaster resource sites for arcades, banner exchange sites, review sites and any other site related to online games. What I will need if interested is: * Site Title * Site Description (If one isn't provided, we will use your meta description.) * Logo URL (OPTIONAL- Must be GIF/PNG format and transparent) * Site URL * Feed URL (Optional) * (OPTIONAL) 2 or more paragraphs about your site. Arcade scripts do not cost that much. There are several that you can find. You can take a look at AV Arcade, GameSiteScript, onArcade or phpArcadeScript for a simple arcade. There are several more scripts available.
Im starting an arcade section on one of my sites - Music Games so if anyone has some really cool music games I can put on the site I would really appreciate it.
Guys i am really not hijacking this thread but i really need this info and i think i can only get it on this thread. 2 questions: 1.Are there any game scripts that get/stream games from other sites so when you start a site you dont use your own bandwidth?Paid or even free if possible. 2. I see many game sites that have adverts/ads before the game starts see spelletjes.nl.How can you achieve this?Do you need to sign up with a company ? please explain thanks
1. Yes. as stated above. mochimedia.com has the option to get the embedded codes for games as well as many many other large arcade sites out there. This is ok, but not recommended. Trust me, dont cheap out, just get an unlimited bandwidth package with Host Gator or Blue Host or Host Monstor for $10 bucks a month and you wont have problems, atleast untill your site start to push 4-5k a day then you just get a dedi but by that time you'll be able to afford it. 2. Yes, there are mods you can use for your script that will overlay an ad while the game loads (or before it loads as with mochi games). With the mod you just insert code of your fav ad company except Adsense as this is against adsense TOS.

Hello, Im going to launch one arcade site, and I've been reasearching here on DP, and found some recomended scripts, but I'd like to have sugestions. Could you help me on choosing the script? Phparcade script - I've heard that is the best one, but the company is for sale so Im afraid of buying it Arcadem Pro - Nice layout... Onarcade - Very good at SEO So, I dont really know which to choose.
I didn't understand why is not recomended using mochimedia embedded codes, would not it save me a lot of work and time?
