Not quite. It is a game thats ALL over the web. but everytime i submit it to stubleupon etc. The plays sky rocket. People really really love that game. I was just saying you need a game like it. If you play it you will know what i mean.
Oh. I saw it on your arcade yesterday and it was very fun. I played like 20 levels. That probably would get a bunch of stumbles.

Hey guys This is a great thread. I been watching it for a while arcades are my passion with my brother and me running a semi big site http://www.gubug.com I have to say that some simple to play games that have a short learning curve do have a better turn around. I don't seem to be getting the juice out of stumbles that I used to get however. I also noticed that the 2 larger Banner exchanges don't seem to be delivering quite as good a source of traffic as they used to has anyone else noticed this? I been mainly getting some new visitors via other projects that I have going ( feeder sites ) and I also got a very good black list for adsense.
I have a developing arcade site, and I'm looking for new ways to promote the site. I have a very small budget to put into advertising, and I'm trying to expand my options for marketing. I've been using Social networking sites, Forums, Stumble Upon, and am starting newgrounds. My main problem is getting uniques, because the main people that play have already visited the site before (Which is only about 40 or so anyways). I would appreciate any suggestions. Thanks
I have never seen this done for an arcade but have always wanted to try it myself. Those familiar with MySpace my have seen the ads that appear as a clickable background image for the entire homepage. The Simpsons have done it, X-Man 3 the move did it, etc. Those big advertisers were really smart. The CTR would be huge and even if it wasn't clickable it would make your site's name/logo very prominent in the visitors mind. The only problem is it would be expensive and you would need a very good bg image.

My cousin in Canada has about 20,000 uniques on average per day in the past month, February and he made abit over 2400$us. For me, I personally do not have any arcade sites YET. but I am thinking about setting one up because it seems to be quite a money maker IF I have enough background and experience. plus of course super traffic!! so How about you guys?? Is your site bringing enough $$$?? yeah, I am still learning about this niche here in this forum. great posts you guys.

I too have an arcade site and I'm working hard to promote it. It's really hard for me to promote an arcade site. I submit to directories, do link exchanges and now finally I have been able to get around 400 UVs a day and it's increasing I guess. But my adsense earnings is so low < 1 a day :S . Any suggestions?

I own a custom games site called snesclassics.com PR5 alexa 36k I would say the ONLY way to grow is grabbing niche gaming terms etc and then start pluggin more general keywords. - try and build a "fan" base and plug in a forum or a way to communicate to your users. this way you can send out newletters once a month with various offers - we have about 200k members that we send a newletter out to. I am not sure about sticking with link exchanges with other gaming sites unless its custom and niche - i like linking in with celeb type sites and myspace layouts etc
