Offering Revenue Sharing To Promote Growth

I would like to discuss using Revenue Sharing from Google Adsense as a way to promote the growth of a website. Some questions are (feel free to add more):

    1) Does it work?
    2) How do you promote it?
    3) What percentage should be offered?

Some of my answers and thoughts:

    1) It seems like it worked and is working for the forums here at Digital Point. What aspects make it work? Does it only work if you are targeting webmasters who would already have an account with Google Adsense?

    2) The obvious answer here is to post it on your website. But how else can it be promoted? You can't just go to a competitive website and say "hey, come to my website and I'll give you a cut of the money." That is very spammy and unethical in my opinion.

I thought promoting it where other websmasters meet (such as Digital Point). So I posted an ad here:

Offering 75% Revenue Sharing for Forum/Blog Participation

I figured that this would be ok since it is in the business section and that I'm not in competition with Digital Point. I also figured that some visitors here would also have an interest in some sort of farming. But, I haven't had any responses.

How else can someone promote this?

    3) Does the percentage offered make a difference? Would 60% revenue sharing make any difference in a person's decision to join over say 40%?

Does anyone here have any experience in this form of advertising? Or have any thoughts or ideas? What do you think will or won't work?

I can say I don't post here for the revenue sharing. I did not even realize that it was possible until a few weeks after joining. I do not think it will have a big draw myself.
