If I offered a prize to the top poster in my forums, would it motivate everyone to post? Perhaps something escalating.... First: $25 for the first poster to get to 500 posts Second $100 for the first poster to get to 2000 posts Third: $500 for the first poster to get to 10000 posts Or something with first person to reach 500 posts, then second runner up and third? Each get something... Im looking for ways to promote my forum that will motivate everyone... Any ideas? What do you think of my above options... Would you post away?
Hi, It is going to difficult to motivate someone to do that unless your forum is built around a popular topic. Otherwise, you might want to make the prizes more attractive. Another way to get started is to hire paid forum posters. DP has a service section where people offer their services for a good price.
Yeah but I see paid posters as someone who will contribute while you pay and then thats it. I thought if I motivate my current members they will keep on going after the prize... Any other ideas or feedback?
I would rather hire a paid poster... 10k posts is a lot to ask... and thats the only good carrot so far....
