Offer downloads form a WP Blog

Is there a plugin for offering downloads on a WP blog? How do people create a downlink on their posts?

 

Just use normal link format:

Download my band's <a href="http://www.myband.com/videos/video1.wmv">video</a>!

Download this <a href="http://www.imanerd.com/tutorials/tut_pack1.zip">tutorial</a>!

The code would be better if you add a target="_blank" within the <a>

That's interesting, WP must be prefetching it somehow. You might have to make a new folder via FTP and stick it in there.

 

That’s exactly what I did??? I might be blocking because it’s a root folder.

 

If you can make a subdomain, that should by-pass WP's settings for sure.
