    Hi

I am starting to sell a bit of software via google adwords and I was looking at my competators and I see most of them are offering a free trial of the software before they buy.

I was wondering do you think this is a good idea to offer a trial?? Im thinking customers will try it and then forget to buy or even dont like the software, So im confused what to do?? Any ideas ??

    Thanks

I think one thing that you need to do is offer the free trial but make it limited..what you can do with the software..so dont give them full access..just a taste of the goods and if its good software then you should sell plenty..good luck

I think many customers have been screwed so many times, they won't buy unless they can try it first. I know that is the case for me. I have bought software without a trial that did not live up to its promise. If you fear that a trial will only show your software weakness and people won't buy because of it, than take off the market. However, if it offers a good value for the price, people won't be able to live without it and buy after they try it.

Hello, surely you would not want to throw you money into the space too if you are at the receiving end. All you have to do is give a limited time trial. Givin a free trial will even make you get the best out of the software, most especially when you give room for comment on how to improve it. If you have the fear people may not buy after the trial, then it means you are not convinced that the software is worth the salt.

I will also suggest that you offer a trial. More people will buy a product if they can test so see how much it can perform. I just bought an article software after a 14-day trial because it met my expectation. I know some product owners offer up to 30 days trial. It does not have to be 30 or 14 days. 5 - 7 days will get the job done.

Yes! Then get you a PAD submitter and BLAST the software around the internet! Obviously Download.com is the big one....
