Let say we are European and we set up a company in off shore. For more relaxing atmosphere and because of lower living costs we move with a team for a couple of months in Thailand. And let say we are doing consulting services via e-mail or Skype. Can we doing business from there without branch office or do we need to set up branch office? Are we liable to pay off shore taxes or taxes of Thailand if we are doing business from there? thanks
Every country is different. Yes i would say you have to pay taxes in country you set company up in. I also know in some countries you have to pay taxes also even if companies are not located thier. Example is Usa if you make money from company off shore you still have to pay taxes and any income you get from it. So you just paid 2 set of taxes. You have to talk to a lawyer and i would talk to a couple to make sure they are right.
do you have any idea what would be best option if we move for half year to Thailand? Maybe just to say that a team from Thailand is only part of service performing and still main work is done in off shore? P.S.: Personal incoming you get from company is another story, I am asking only about company.
