I've been reading about off page SEO for a while and just want some confirmation on what I've read before I sink some time and money into it. Is it wise to create pages related to my main site on things like squidoo and hubpages and then do some backlink building to those pages? This would be in addition to building back links to my main page of course. Is there really a big benefit to this?
yes, you are correct. however dont build to many links to your hubpage, since that wont help your main site to much.
It will increase traffic to your site of course, but in terms of page rank and search results from Google, I doubt it will be a lot of help.
Hub pages and squidoo are good to do since they get alot of traffic and will bring search bots back to your site. They will not always bring alot of traffic to your site though unless you create really good quality content. What you need is for Squidoo to promote your lens as a featured lens!
Yes it is, I think you need to understand the concept of backlinks first before you can understand why offsite SEO is so important. Read - building backlinks.
They are good for bringing traffic but for pagerank you have to choose other linkbuilding methods too. Also for bringing traffic you have post some relevant, interesting and informative post otherwise it is useless.
As far as know, hubpages will delete the articles if all the links in your articles are pointed to the same domain although the article is related to your site. I am the victims.
Yes that is correct, the trick is to continue, be dedicated and put in plenty of time - SEO is a process which never ends.
Surely its gonna be a success... but how much you drive from it... depends upon what content campaign you launch on these websites. One example: You may launch counter content articles as these pages usually rank higher than normal competitors webpages.
