I am one of those people who HATE it when co-workers are constantly belly-aching about the company/job/pay/hours or whatever. If you don't like it leave. But I am having one of those days myself today and thought I would foist my bad mood off on you guys to save my co-workers the pain of listening to me :p.

Have you ever noticed that a small office can be a lot like high school? You have your "cliques"...those people who always hang around together and like to whisper behind peoples backs. Unfortunately I sit right Next to an office that has 2 women like that in them. It has gotten so I absolutely HATE coming in here anymore. Another co-worker had her desk moved because of their constant gossip and comments. She made such a large stink about it but management has kind of tuned out any complaints since then (probably because she is one of those that constantly complains about other things). I have tried to obliquely bring the subject up with my boss but he just tunes me out or completely mis-understands what I am saying. <sigh> And people wonder why I haven't been able to quit smoking.....its because I'll be arrested for murder if I do.

Thanks for listening....I feel a little better now. At least my husband is saved from my ranting tonight. ;)

I wish - that's why I started my personal site but it isn't even supporting itself yet (let alone me ).

Hmm....also a good way to get rid of the husband.

Definitely time for a new job :)

And don't stoop to their level, it may affect your references and your credibility in your industry.

Is your husband one of the ones who always tries to fix, rather than listen... d'oh, he's a bloke, ofcourse he can't listen :)

I always did hate working for the other fella, if only because of the crap I had to put up with from other people. I feel where you're coming from.
