# of searches for a keyword

What is the ideal # of searches that are made monthly for a good keyword? Is 2000 searches a month worth creating a site for that specific domain?

    Thanks.

30000 I would say yes since it would be a lot higher no doubt.

I am intersted in knowing what it is. You have my assurances I wont pass on the name to anyone if you do PM me and I also wont register it. If you register it now infact then tell me tht would be good :)

Just make sure overture isn't messing up the words...eg... buy cool cars are the keywords and it's showing results for cool cars buy...and when you check out your competition then it'll probably be a lot more for the first phrase.

Also I think it's worth creating a site if there is even under 500 searches a month. Remeber Google will probably be atleast 5x as much.

Best way would be to just run a test campaign in Adwords and see what kind of numbers show up :)

I like using wordtracker to find the #of searches for a keyword on google. It's not perfect but it's useful for getting an idea of the number of searches per keyword on various search engines.
