I would strongly advise against anyone posting there regarding their submissions. Trust me. It will go over about as well as a fart in church.

Sorry gboisseau, I would just repeat what minstrel said. I know who owns that site and the players are the same, only less in quantity compared to RZ.

Don't think so - players there are mainly drawn from editalls not metas. And there is a special area just for hating DMOZ if one feels so inclined. You wouldn't get that on RZ. Plus the policy is loose moderation, not censorship that would have made Stalin proud. There is not even a ban on asking for a status check (though no guarantee you will get one) ;)

Yes, I do. I would just recommend DP. Since I TRUST and recommend VERY FEW Editors and Ex- Specific Editor regarding questions about the ODP.

I think you will find that everyone there is trustworthy and honest. Many of the same people who come here and who I am sure you trust. It is there because a number of editalls didn't like the RZ approach and wanted something different. What better recommendation do you need?

I submitted three sites with DMOZ. The site I inquired about through resource-zone.com still has not been included in the directory. The other two sites were included a few weeks after submission. Could just be different editors, however my thread regarding my inquiry seemed to upset them just because I asked about the time frame for inclusion.

So, I would have to agree, submit your site and forget about it. Don't use either forum to inquire about your submission.

Well i have some experience with ODP...and im pritty sure that u shouldn't use that forum to either submit your site...or to ask the status of your site.

Their rules clearly tell that you shouldn't use that forum to querry about the status of your sites..wheather they are rejected or how long it'll take to be added....

And once you have submited your site never submit it back ot other category...editors have tools to check those things....

All you need is to just wait and watch...if the editor of your category is active and your site is good enough it will be added soon.

Believe it, or not, we do want to help - contrary to the popular belief in here. As far as I know, we do not have any rules about status checks in the other forum (but i could be wrong).

$1.00 drafts tonight - had quite a few (that's the only way I will post in here, btw)! If I ever make it to the Philippines, I need to try your local brew! :)

I looked it up and saw no objections when it was suggested.

I'm a site admin there and I promise I have not once moderated a post or banned a user. Power to the people. ;)
