My sister in law has had her facebook account copied and 42 of her friends have accepted friend requests. A few of us have reported this page at least twice but it stays up on facebook - we can find it even though we aren't friends. My sister in law, however, gets a missing page error when she goes to the page which means she can't report it herself. Is there any way to speed up facebook's moderation processes and get this page taken down?
is it account or page? hope this links can help you http://www.facebook.com/help/167722253287296 https://www.facebook.com/help/www/174210519303259
Thanks @FreeFun4Every1 - it's an account and we've reported it over and over. However because the account doesn't exist when she visits it she can't actually report it. In the support dashboard you can see the posts that you have reported but there doesn't appear to be a feedback system for the accounts that get reported. Now that I have soooo much advertising in my newsfeed it would be nice if some of the revenue could be channelled into supporting this area. The "questions" in the support area about this kind of thing go unanswered and people report their fake accounts still being there months later. Frightening. And have you read this: http://www.salon.com/2011/02/02/my_fake_facebook_profile/
@sarahk - Yah it's true they but get thousands of reports daily so may be they had set some criteria by which they take action on that account. It's not reporting over and over by same people but it is must be reporting by different people. So you and that girl spread link to all friends and tell them to report on it as number of people reporting on same profile increase it will be surely removed.
