ODBC connections Linux

    Hello, I have yet another question.

    Our servers run Linux with PHP and Mysql.

    I have recently started a project that requires me to connect to a MS-SQL database. The people who's database I'm connecting to say it is possible to connect using "ODBC connections"
    and "Linux must have a compatible interface"

    I didn't think this was possible to connect to a MS-SQL database using linux.

    Any Advice?

    That looks good, problem is i have to shut down the webserver. Don't think i want to risk it.

    Does anyone know a way to do this without shutting off the webserver?
    and recompiling apache and php.
    As shutting down the webserver on purpose is not going to happen.
