It's pretty obvious mate, isn't it? There are three kinds of people in Occupy movement.
1) Anti-Americans with vicious hidden agendas
2) Stoners, morons and rioters. People who never had a job or a life for that matter.. Think this is their best chance to grab some.. These are the kind of people who rioted in London.
3) Delusional sheeps who don't even know what they want and what they actually need..

Now type 2 and 3 people are always there in every country. they aint a threat.. But type 1 is the real danger.. Govt. should be investigating it. But what they are doing?
And that brings the question - what is exactly current government's motive? What's their agenda?

North India? He must be looking forward to visit one of these:

250px-Bhangshop.jpg

Indian cannabis: Making stoners all over the world happier since....forever

Considering it is LA, that doesn't surprise me.. I would have been surprised if they weren't just wanting to get high...
Imagine an occupy Miami movement..

LOL. :)

Hey, I don't know how credible this info is, but I just found this. It's a LA Weekly blog, and they're saying the Occupy Wall Street crowd in New York is talking about spending the winter with OccupyLA...

Nice video. Loved the way the first one skillfully weaved his message of non-violence into profanity laced demands the news team leave because they are unwelcome. That and the fellow holding up the cross around his neck after shooting the bird at the camera were terribly impressive.

Both those twerps need to occupy a psychiatric ward.

And before anyone mentions the news teams only show the idiots... unless they'd used a shotgun or left the camera turned off, covering the idiots in this case wouldve been impossible to avoid.

I like what the Occupy Wall Street folks are trying to bring to the Public Awareness. There is no better description on how our economy has been trending for decades than the graphs presented in this article: http://www.businessinsider.com/what-wall-street-protesters-are-so-angry-about-2011-10?op=1

Scroll through those graphs. Scroll down and see how over time and very recently corporate profits continue to represent a greater and greater share of the GDP while people's wages continue to drop as a percentage of GDP. Note how corporate exec salaries have soared while regular people's incomes are flat. Note how across the board wealth simply migrates to the fewer and fewer.

Now as to the "leadership" of the OWS people. There simply isn't any. If there is show us an organization chart...created by them, not by someone else which shows who is on top, who is responsible for communicating to the press, who is responsible for communicating to other groups in other cities. There isn't any.

Good graphs. I think the topic of the way income has skewed heavily to one end (and the role our government has played in that thru an incestuous relationship with corporate lobbyists) has extremely broad support. Imo, had the OWS concentrated on that single theme instead of the plethora of absolutely unrelated bullshit pet issues... There might have been a much better response.

Had they concentrated on getting that point across instead of squandering goodwill with their woodstock wannabe campouts... It might have been effective. The idiots involved over-reached... And tried to rewrite reality instead of focusing on the one huge item that truly does deserve inspection and remedy.

A valid basic premise was betrayed by the hippy freak implementation, and the one item they could have educated people about was drowned out by petulant assholes that just wanted to yell on camera and a bunch of communists and anarchists that had at least as much say as the few vocal members that appeared not to be brain dead.

I've said for a long time that the bailouts were NOT capitalism and our overall system is a travesty of a true free market due to government intervention. The fact that our pay ratio on Exec vs worker is so dramatically different from the rest of the planet AND dramatically different from what it was here before is an example of bad policies gone wild. Both major parties bear responsibility, yet there is potential support for addressing it At a grassroots level on both sides too. I'd love to see that issue addressed in earnest and I hope these incompetent sunsabitches haven't poisoned the well thru their assinine antics.

Agreed.

It's crazy. It seems like everything is gradually intensifying. I was surprised to read this:

Occupy Oakland Calls for TOTAL WEST COAST PORT SHUTDOWN ON 12/12

Isn't that going to get kind of ugly?

And, this is unrelated to the other link, but I am also somewhat concerned by instances of unnecessary use of force by police. In this, the crowd is shouting "Shame on you" to the police, and I agree with them. The officer casually went by and pepper sprayed protesters that were sitting down.

Seems to me that Occupy wall street is going nowhere with no leadership and more than half don't even know what the cause is even trying to accompolish. Should change to Occupy Washington and maybe if they can get all of the criminals out of Congress and the Senate and The White House they might have a chance of accompolishing something!

@Rob, @Rebecca: Thanks for actually reading the graphs and commenting!!! Some people here are presented with data and graphs and other facts and simply ignore them. You don't.

The way the Occupy Wall Street folks are being portrayed as hippies etc, doesn't concern me at all. Some surveys about their members show a wide variety of folks including most who work.

I like the fact they are bringing points to bear that simply have been overwhelmed by opposing views. This information is supported by hard research and not a lot of blow hard accusations that are never factually supported. For lots of reasons the scary economic trends in our nation have been hidden from public view. The misery of this recession, combined with bad unemployment and the amazing amounts of funds going back into the financial institutions that needed to be bailed out are bringing these long term trends to public awareness. The points are coming across with these protests. I hope its a first step in making these issues very prominent in front of the public.

That is good.

OWS is not owned or run by anyone, it's a movement of the 'people.' They're against the disparity of the nation's wealth and the growing schism between the very wealthy and everyone else. You don't necessarily need one leader or panel for that.

As to the Tunisians, good job. People shouldn't get pepper sprayed and maced in the FACE for sitting somewhere not touching or throwing things at anyone. Just another abuse of power under the guise of "protection" for the people as if that's what it's really about. There's another thing that's been following those lines of thought as well as something else that's trying to pass. They're called the Patriot Act and S.O.P.A.

I have heard and seen this before.. Not regarding Oakland though..

The 1% and 99% talk is a favorite communist agenda.. It all starts with shutting down business activities of supposed 1%, then it turns into loot and robbery and then full swing armed conflicts.. We have seen it before.. Communist terror making it's way to America.

Its a 30 minute video, of which I only watched the first 10 minutes or so on live TV, but worth sharing if only for pure entertainment value.

Mark the time. Tonight at midnight LA time, there is going to be violence as the police clear the druggies, socialists, anarchists, and homeless from the park surrounding city hall. Around 2:20 into the video, note the "Official Occupy" Spooksperson chiming in about a deal Mayor VillaRigosa (Vilar) had struck with Occupy, offering them 10,000 ft2 of downtown office space and airable farmland at a dollar a year for 10 years if they would peacefully vacate. Tonight at midnight, I'm guessing they will be wishing they had taken the extortion money, though in fairness, a scumbag like Vilar would have never made good on the deal anyway.
