Barack Obama says his two daughters are fans of Hannah Montana and Beyonce, but think anything to do with Britney Spears and Paris Hilton is "yuck."

As for his wife, Michelle, Obama said she has a star crush on Stevie Wonder.

Yes they are, but you cant help it that they are also VERY popular. Beside, a few years ago, Britney was an excelent singer(maybe she still is) and for 2-3 years she was the best selling singer... you cant argue with that...

So why is this making the news again? I mean, it's good that Obama's kids aren't idolizing poor role models, but I don't see how this is one bit significant in relation to the US election.
