What happens when we do winner takes all: Obama: 1045 Clinton: 1163 If we give her Florida and Michigan that brings her total up to 1433. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_Electoral_College With a few exceptions the electoral college is winner takes all. Obama is squeaking by now only because of proportiate delegates. In a real election he can't count on being close enough in the big states and winning small states. Small states also hold caucuses which puts Hillary at a disadvantage as families and older people can't spend hours voting. That advantage goes away in the general election.
