Well, here's a little thing for you to understand...Lincoln didn't really care if slavery existed in the South,...just as long as it didn't extent to the west. If you take it historically, the arguements weren't about morals...they were about power. And of coarse the south was stupid on slavery, but Lincoln's behaviours were odd durning those times. It only took the stubborness of him and a few misinforming generals to start a war (I could get into the history of it...but it's long). To some level, it's conceiveable that things could have worked-out without a war,....but maybe that's just an internal conjecture. The South did offer to end slavery entirely if England recognized it. After a key battle, England no-longer thought it wise to do such.
Wow, I've never heard that one before. Just when I thought that I had heard all of the 9/11 conspiracies...
THE WORLD OPINION IS: BUSH IS A WAR CRIMINAL. THE USA WAR ON IRAQ WAS ILLIGAL. IRAQ WAS MUCH BETTER UNDER SADDAM, THAN UNDER USA. If we're doing good to Iraqi's why our troops walk heavily armed everywhere in Iraq? If we do more harm than good better leave Iraq to the Iraqis.
How does a topic that deals with Obama's lack of respect for US troos move into slavery and who sold what to Saddam? So far after reading this thread I have come to the following conclusions: 1. Obama is not going to be president 2. Obama is anti-American 3. Obama is a a$$hole 4. Ferret is still a racist 5. USSR, France and China sold more arms to Saddam than the US 6. The US does not even rank in the top 10 of the countries that sold arms to Iraq 7. The poster above me is a loon. 8. AGS still has nothing meaningful to contribute to a discussion 9. The Civil war was about slavery? 10. Lincoln was cool So what about the original topic? Obama reminds me of Rex Grossman in a lot of ways. Just think, had Grossman just NOT played, not only would his quarterback rating have remained higher, but the Bears may have won the SB. Now if Obama would just keep his ignorant mouth shut, he might stand a better chance of winning. In Obama's apology yesterday he admitted that he knew what he said was wrong when he said it, but said it anyway. He like a great many moonbats in the democratic party found their campaigns on hate, ignorance and need to absorb guilt to placate to those that share in this hatred. If anything, Obama has completely lost sight of all he claims to have stood for. And in the process he has shamed himself and the families who have lost brave freedom defenders, aka our troops. So add 11 to that list. 11. Obama is a sick bastard.
So far after reading this thread I have come to the following conclusions: 1. right wing people have nothing real to say about obama 2. that there are still some nut cases who think invading Iraq was not a mistake 3.there seems to direct relationship between having medical problems and being a war cheerleader
"I mean, you got the first mainstream African-American who is articulate and bright and clean and a nice-looking guy," Biden said. "I mean, that's a storybook, man."
Kinda puts things into perspective about where guys like Biden come from. What a sicko. Of course this is not the first time he made comments like this. I remember him calling Indians dot heads or something like that in reference to a 7/11.
Personally, I don't think anyone can have a clear perception of Obama...yet. Although I'm not hearing a lot good things coming from his mouth. But hey....!? -------- I don't think he could be president...because America still has a lot of racism, even if was the perfect candiate. But maybe I'm wrong. Although I'm sure some dick would take-out the first black president, no matter how good America perceived him.
Come Rick you are not retarded, you can see what a mess Iraq is, you can see how it hasn't made us safer, how it drove away our allies , how its a bottomless pit of expenses. Like 70% of country has figured it out, it took awhile but hey give people time and they get it . Iraq is mess, and it was mistake to go in there, at this point it looks like it definitely has been a waste of American Lives and money, you can say maybe down the road etc .... but all you have to do is read the news to see how it is now. The bombings aren’t stopping, the blood shed is not stopping, Al Qaeda is dancing around in the civil war recruiting and training people, As of 911 Al Qaeda was like between 200-2000 people, smaller then the gambino(gotti) crime family. Since 911 mostly because of the actions of our president and his followers, Al Qaeda has turned into a full fledged international movement/ franchise, mostly because of the Iraq invasion, that’s right we went from a couple hundred cave dwellers with some rich secret sponsors, to who knows how many possible tens of thousands now, claiming to part of Al Qaeda. After 911 the whole world was on our side, now bit by bit we alienated almost the whole world. We invaded another country and have directly caused the deaths of god knows how many people in Iraq, what 60,000 - 80,000, who knows. Caused a security vacuum and civil war that may rage on for another 20 years. We multiplied our enemies, and help swell the ranks of Al Qaeda. The idea that people can't see what mistake it was to invade is mind blowing.
I've never said I wanted this war to happen...but what does this have to do with my comments, ferret? Perception can be what it wants to be. World poverty is lightly glazed by the media, but assuming it met the screen every day, I'm sure it would be that much more important. We chose to see the problems we want or sometimes others chose for us. Some are more innerward and 'selfish' and other take what they want. I know your feelings on this, Ferret. I'm not here to change them. Generally I agree (on the bold), but what are YOU going to do? I would have liked Bush to just ride the 9/11 issue out for what it was worth ie pursue those threats heavily. But we don't live in that world any longer. You should never use this as part of your comments. You've demonstrated often that your care level for them is very low. But on a side note, I'm thinking that number is inflated. 'Who knows'...that's right. Perhaps many people do,...but they disagree with how to go forward.
That's nonsence, I debate where I can with you, I keep telling you sheeple how people like your hero Rumsfeld lied his ass off about al-CIAda but you sheeple just will not listen. No wonder we are heading towards a world wide disaster when people like you are so easy to control. God help us.
Looks like I was right about number 8. Nothing like poping in and out of threads only to make drive by useless comments; then leave when you are called on something. The only time you come back to the discussion is to either insult someone or start another useless point without ever addressing the original topic you were owned on. That's what I meant when I said, "useless posts". Number 8 still applies.
""Americans are very frustrated, and they have every right to be. We've wasted a lot of our most precious treasure, which is American lives." - McCain now McCain has said that lives are wasted in Iraq
theres already a thread about that....and any real conservative knows that McCain is a RINO....Rep. in Name only....like a good democrat, he is already backpedaling out of that one...
McCain is a Moonbat in disguise.. He is as loony as ever. If he only had a New England accent like so many other loons, he would fit right in.
At least he supports the war. I think when he says wasted he's saying that at least some soldiers died from neglegence. And that's why he wants to send in more troops. More troops makes it safer for everyone. If he really thought lives were being wasted he wouldn't support the war or the surge. With Obama, when he says wasted, he means they died for nothing since he feels the war was a mistake to begin with since he thinks Iraq doesn't affect us. But, he'd like to get us involved in Africa's problems even though Africa doesn't affect us. So really, he's just a racist. McCain is old. I can let this one go for him since all his actions support the troops even if a sentence can seem to not support them. With Obama neither his words nor actions support the troops.
I thought you were a staunch Republican mate and would throw your weight behind anyone under the GOP flag? Gotta be better than Hillary though eh mate or are you gonna switch over to the Dems?
