Bush did not have the ties to the Muslim community that Obama had, nor did he make an effort so blatant as to hold out a hand of friendship to every country. Comparing the two is a little ridiculous.

If you refuse to help on your part to promote change, why would you expect us to do all of the work for both? I think this is a genuine opportunity that Obama has given, and most Americans stand behind it. Perhaps it is time Arabs stop giving into that preconceived notion of the Western world, and realized that for change to occur, the first step has to be taken.

We have taken the first step. It's your move.

Oh please, he has already done more in the last week then Bush did in the first six months of his second term. Not only has he shown himself to be dedicated, but he is sticking to the policies and promises he made in his campaign, which is a rarity all it's own.

Trouble with people is we always look at things as "millions of Jews or Muslims" victimized
by bombings, "hundreds or thousands of military or civilians" died as results of random
bombardment... Why can't we just look at the "millions of humanity" and the
"hundreds or thousands of human lives" victimized or died ...? Why do we always
regionalize, nationalize, tribalize, marginalize? Why can't we universalize, unify, and
become one? Pardon the terminologies, but hope to get the message through.

Iraq was not a muslim state. Rather it was controlled by a bathist regime that killed millions of shia.

Afganistain attacked the US launching attacks that resulted in the deaths of thousands of Americans.

Muslims are not the enemy.. its the terrorists. but since most terrorists are muslims, stereotypes also think all muslims are terrorists.. same goes for muslim stereotypes, since most killed terrorists are muslims, they think americans hate muslims and thus treat them as emeny. ROFL..
