Agreed, this is just dumb. It's not even really a 'verbal slip', implying that he accidently let loose his secret or something. It was just misworded is all, totally irrelevant.
He's gonna unleash hell on the US and the world if elected. Seeing how many blind sheep who can't see past the tip of their nose fall for his lies is alarming.
It seems to be making a mountain out of an ant hill, a slip of the tongue and he "admits that he is a Muslim". Even the title of the article "Obama Verbal Slip...." suggest that it is nothing more than that.

Even if Obama was a muslim, who cares? Not all muslims are psychos ...And there are just as many Christian psychos as there are muslim extremests.

The issue is not whether Obama is a Christian or a Muslim. The fact that he is campaigning and he portray himself as a Christian. If his foes can manage to convince others that he is a Muslim, that would be a huge blow on his credibility. If he is campaigning and saying that he is a Muslim, that would be a different scenario altogether.
Well, we all better care what religion they are. While their choice of religion is freedom, getting some one in the white house that's going to try to inflict their beliefs on the whole nation isn't going to be good for anyone! If a presidential candidate will lie about their religion and heritage, what else will they lie about?? We all know the majority of politicians lie, they tell you what you want to hear until they get elected. But, to lie about something as simple as religion is pretty bad. If Obama wasn't ashamed of his religion, or if he knew that it wouldn't affect voters, he wouldn't be lying. A slip of the tongue hmmm I've never had a slip of the tongue and said I was an athiest! Get real, he just said it before he caught himself because it's true.
There isn't any evidence that Obama lied, in fact the OP's article clearing showed that it was Obama's opponents seizing on one single sentence and make big news out of that. To lie about anything, especially your religious beliefs is bad more so for a Presidential candidate who would be ruling the most powerful country on earth. But till now all such accusations against Obama isn't substantiated. Everyone does have a slip of tongue, maybe you are perfect, but I guess Obama like most of us, especially after having had an intense campaign before him does erred once in a while. But to treat a simple slip of the tongue as the gospel truth and condemn the man is bit unfair for him.
Obama's family in Kenya are muslims and Obama was raised a muslim in Indonesia by his muslim stepfather. Obama also has extensive ties to the Nation of Islam.
People should or should not elect him on his capabilities to run the country, not on which religion he blongs too.
