US would be better if weren't panicked all the time and didn't enjoy hating government so much :| 1 man cannot control entire country's fate by himself
Digitalpoint forums called. They want you to find another catch phrase besides kool-aid. Will you accept the challenge? I feel like saying something stupid and uninformed like you: Conservatives are all evangelical Christians that believe everything they do is for God. The ones claiming they're not are lying. There's no such thing as a moderate conservative. They're all far right loons. A conservative is a conservative. Dude get real, people on the left have more diversity than conservatives, true. That's because we actually have the ability to accept new evidence and form new opinions. We don't have people telling us "you're for us or you're against us". In fact your A or B comment/thinking pretty clearly proves that. And if a liberal were a liberal we'd have passed health care reform by now. Few final questions though: if the policy on the left is full of fail, which policies were in power over the past 8 years? Is the nation better off now than it was before 8 years of Republican policies? How are those tax cuts for the rich, a.k.a. the same people getting multi-million dollar bonuses right now working out? Remember those genius conservative ideas that amounted to trickle down economics? See all that money not trickling down? The ‘free market’ has never been "free". It’s a beautiful, utopian concept based on conditions that cannot be replicated in reality. Human greed will always undermine any attempt to achieve a truly "free" market. The sooner you guys wake up and realize that, the sooner we can all move forward. (oh please oh please don't "corner me with facts". I might directly challenge you to counter my points then you'll run away like you always do )
have to agree with george. conservatives don't stand for half as much as they stand against. there is really no direction, they have good intentions but just haven't come up with any direction yet. if they don't want direction and want the federal government out, they should express that.. but they're clearly lost right now. (example: gay marriage, marijuana, abortion - most conservatives want to handle it at the federal level)
You lefties stop using "That There Fox News", "Glenn Beck", and "RUSH" as your calling cards, and I'll do the same. Unfortunately I see no end in sight with regard to the lefts outlandish claims that a news network, a talk show host and radio personality are more powerful than the President. Sheesh... 1 hour at DP can dumb the crap out of anyone!
I still think that the extreme left, such as those who post here, are the ones who watch Faux news, Glen Beck and Rush. They seem to know more about what is there than those of us who are conservative in our views. I wouldn't have known about Glen Beck if it wasn't for the extreme lefties here on DP, since then I know one guy who watches or listens to him daily (not sure if he has a radio show or just a TV spot?)
I honestly thought that Obama was going to finally fall below 50% but he managed to stick there for two days and has bounced up to 51% today: http://www.gallup.com/poll/113980/Gallup-Daily-Obama-Job-Approval.aspx It's quite remarkable how close he's been to that 50% line without falling under it thus far. But I'm not entirely confident that he won't fall below it at some point soon.
Same here... Most of the information I get about Rush, Beck, and Fox comes from the crap posted here. Must suck not being able to think for yourself. Hence the Kool-Aid comments.
Congratulations! You just described the Obama White House! The first President since Nixon to have an enemies list! A President too cowardly to face his critics!
Obama has direction, it's just not the direction we really want. However, he at least has made some good CHANGE on social issues like the ease on medical cannibas and eliminating the don't ask don't tell policy. Anyone who thinks pot should be banned is a moron. If he wises up to stay in the limits of the power he is supposed to have, I will actually consider him an honorable president because he stands for something. Phonies like Bush are the worst presidents a nation can have.
Politics make strange bedfellows. Who would have thought that the Democrats would want to keep a wedge issue when they have all the power to end the debate...
I'm very pleased by this: Obama up +3 today to 54% ->>> http://www.gallup.com/poll/113980/Gallup-Daily-Obama-Job-Approval.aspx I was not expecting that kind of jump, I thought he would be dangerously close to the 50% mark for awhile longer. Very good sign. I think if real health care reform (with a public option) is made law his approval ratings could jump over 60% again.
Well you have to admit it's tough. Like I tried to think for myself and ask direct questions begging to be "cornered with facts". But no one cornered me. And it made my heart sad
A real shortage of those around here. Lots of opinions being promulgated as fact, but little to back them up. Mia claims a 44% approval rating ("He's about 6 points south of 50...") but provides no source. Of all the data I see, Rasmussen is the lowest at 50%. Even Politico reports "only" a 43% disapproval rating as of two days ago.
Obama rating is falling down . It is called the worst poll rating drop in 50 years . Gallup recorded an average daily approval rating of 53 per cent for Mr Obama for the third quarter of the year.. source : Barack Obama sees worst poll rating drop in 50 years
