That is tragic with what the republicans are going through while Obama is in trouble with the economic recovery.

How many people do you really think will enjoy giving 60% of their incomes to federal government, this is before local and state taxes. It won't be long before Republicans will be in control again.

Considering the fact that there are more democrat millionaires in Washington than Republicans, I'd say NONE.

When you wait tables, the pay is considerably lower than minimum wage because tips bring it above the legal minimum.

??? I waited for 9 years. Did a variety of things from bus boy, food runner, waiter and room service. Made $2.15/hr as the minimum wage. The tips, most of which were CASH were untraceable and untaxable. Was making more than I new what to do with in those days and had coffee cans full of ones and fives...

You don't make money off your minimum wage. That pays your taxes. The rest is what you make. In many cases, it can be a damned good living. But it takes a hell of a lot of work and the right place and customer.

IMO, there should be NO minimum wage. All you do is screw those who work their way up on the wage ladder by mandating total idiots or newbies make the same. Its a stupid system with no other purpose than to "level the playing field" as these fucktard stuck up moonbats would say.

Oregon has one of the highest minimum wages (I think 8.10) and that is the same for tipped employees.

Oregon is also a leader in unemployment during non-recession times... go figure.

Its never ceases to amaze me how a free market economy can expect the markets to dictate the costs of goods and services, while also dictating the wages of the employees in that same market.

And at the same time that free market economy seeks to nationalize the monetary system, nationalize the health care industry, nationalizes the auto industry, and then tax the shit out of the small businesses that make up 85% of the revenue in this country.

We're currently in the midst of some form of neo-socialism.

Let the market dictate the costs. Let government protect and defend the constitution and any problem past, present or future goes away.

No society ever taxed its way into prosperity and certainly no society or government has ever "price fixed" its way into prosperity either.

The save all end all solution to everything? STOP FUCKING WITH SHIT! Get the hell out of my way and let me move forward!!!

If I can add but one thing -

We've never had a free market in America. Only the myth of a free market. Industrialization was born with anything but a "free" labor market, with the armed might of the state intervening in collusion with heavy capital for a desired, concentrated result.

People need to bring history in, ever and always - historicity can never be stripped from economic analysis. We in the states grew up late, and because of it, fast, furiously, and with heavy state involvement, in some ways much like Wilhemine Germany.

It rises and it falls, it's no big deal really I'd just ignore it. The ratings are all controlled by massive news corps anyway.

Ha! That says it all right there.

This is another good one: Who Do You Trust? (Obama Vs. Republicans)

These Republican apologists get excited over every small drop in Obama's popularity meanwhile the Republican party has become a fringe group full of insane "birthers" and other assorted nuts who lack a basic grasp of reality.

Meanwhile to anyone interested in exposing the right wing lies on health care - Check this out: Canada's Health Care Is Better Than America's

A reminder to watch President Obama speak about Health Care tonight.

It's time to put the political BS behind us and get the public option passed. This is the time. Forget about the Republicans. And so called "Blue Dog" Democrats. This is the time. We have to get this done. If we have to do it with 51 votes, so be it.

Yeah, lets all watch Obama abuse FREE air time to try and sell his sick Vision of America...

Don't we all have enough stress in our lives? 90% of Americans are already insured. The ones that are not, either choose not to, or need to go out and buy it.

Health Care reform starts by reforming the bureaucracies, health care facilities, and fraudsters. Tort reform, and getting a handle on costs are the way you attack the health care issues. You don't solve the problem by reaching into Jeremy Kinsey's pocket and taking more of his money to pay for people who refuse to pay for their own health care, or that of their children. I do it. In fact I pay income tax on the health care that I pay for out of MY own pocket. Now I'm expected to pay an additional tax so someone else can get government health care?

Fuck that... Are you people on crack or something? Christ!

I just don't trust that the federal government can do it efficiently.

I remember reading somewhere that for every $1 million the federal government directly applies to a program, it spends $5 million on a bureaucracy that administers that million dollars.

For example - the federal government has spent enough money on "recovery" in the past year to give - as a gift - give to every household in America $27,000.

Where is our money REALLY going?

Isn't it the job of the States to govern the people? And isn't it the job of the Federal government to govern the States? I think I read that somewhere.

    Poor Z,

Latest numbers are out and your man keeps sinking.

    49%

Please spin this for us. Let me know how I got it wrong again, OK?

"Overall, 49% of voters say they at least somewhat approve of the President's performance. Today marks the first time his overall approval rating has ever fallen below 50% among Likely Voters nationwide. Fifty-one percent (51%) disapprove."

    Poor Z. :(

Maybe these Gallup numbers will cheer you up.

    You're still at 56% there.

    http://www.gallup.com/poll/113980/gallup-daily-obama-job-approval.aspx

The blacks still like him. The Democrats still like him. Can't give up on the messiah, can you? It's those darn independents that are running as fast as they can. Yourbama is just too far left, hombre.

Federally funded abortions wrapped up in that health care package? Well, that won't be popular. Fine you $2,500 if you don't purchase insurance? Hmmmm... There you go again...

Did you see this video? Sen. Carnahan from Missouri trying to "educate" his constituants on Obamacare?

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8hoqfzwzgT8

We all love your Obamacare... NOT!!! Hahahaha Yourbama better wake up!!!

    Here's another for you.

KATHLEEN SEBELIUS GETS BOOED ON OBAMACARE

"It will be a cold day in hell before you socialize MY country"

Yeah, that darn Obama. He just keeps making more and more friends.

Here's one of him trying to make friends in Moscow. Click Here

I don't think the Russians like him. Kind of embarassing...

About Nobama doing a bad job? A 2 TRILLION dollar deficit is predicted for his first year in office. That's certainly something you can be proud of. I guess he's in first place. You're winning, Z!!!

It's not all his fault, though... He still has Pelosi and Reid helping him out.

How 'bout those blue dogs, Z? Are they great, or what? Fiscally conservative Democrats? I didn't even know that was an option. Whoda' thunk?
