I agreed with most of your post. For some reason, you left out the word ILLEGAL.

There is EVERYTHING wrong with ILLEGAL aliens taking AMERICAN jobs.

Have you ever gotten really sick?

Do you know how common it is for private health insurance companies to drop people when they actually need insurance the most?

You won't realize how messed up the health care system is yourself until you encounter the problem in your own life. That's the problem with conservative "thought." It consists of no perspective outside of their own which greatly limits the ability of a conservative to really understand anything. Not only about other people's problems, but their own possible future problems.

Sicko is the truth about health care. This former health insurance industry PR man has admitted as such. Watch it.

    Something To Consider:

The U.S. ranks highest in total cost of care, but according to a recent report by the Commonwealth Fund, ranks last among industrialized countries "in preventing deaths through use of timely and effective medical care."

October is a dangerous month for the stock market. Some of the crashes that have occured in October -

Wall Street Crash of 1929 - Monday, October 28 and Tuesday, October 29

Black Monday- the Stock Market Crash of 1987 was the largest one day stock market crash in history. The Dow lost 22.6% of its value or $500 billion dollars on October 19 ...

    October 13, 1989 - Black Wednesday

October 27th 1997. In October that year, share prices indeed crashed in Asia, Latin America and Eastern Europe, while the Dow Jones Index plunged 554 points on October 27th.

October 2002 - Stock market downturn of 2002

October 6, 2008 -- The Black Week: Beginning October 6 and lasting all week the Dow Jones Industrial Average fell over 1,874 points, or 18%, in its worst weekly decline ever on both a point and percentage basis. The S&P 500 fell more than 20%.

    7/7/2009 BRACE for "OCTOBER CRASH"
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wa4sCDz0WJk

Many of the crashes have occured toward the end of Oct. Not too much of a difference from November. The trading desks have make a lot of money the last few months. At the slightest sign there could be a panic selloff. Whatever benefit the stimulus is giving will most likely run out of steam in a few months.

    1) Big proprietary trading desks that may go short
    2) Weak dollar
    3) Higher oil prices
    4) Lower corporate earnings
    5) The economy remains weak and the green shoots don't grow.
    6) Continued mortgage loses and forclosures
    7) Growing commercial real estate ;oses

You know, you liberals here and in congress/whitehouse could take a lesson from these "profitable" companies. If all of you could actually do the same instead of taking from those of us that do, we'd not have these problems.

Don't you mean, change the topic to something other than Obama's dwindliing popularity?

I thought it was the left-wingers that destroyed health care reform, right?

Zibblu does't really care about health care. He only pretends to care about anything that is partisan. He's not a uniter, he's a divider.

Besides, staying on topic, how can Pelosi ram health care down our throats if President Obama's popularity is tanking?

What an incredibly racially bigoted statement. It's all about color for "arrraid".

    What???? Did you dream this???

Here in Boston, illegal immigrants are taking jobs way from college students. Because of this, some are having a hard time making tuition.

Instead of legally paying an American citizen $5.00/hr plus benefits and taxes, an employer pays an illegal $2.50/hr and pays no taxes or benefits. The employer does it because he can get away with it.

It would be illegal to pay someone $5 an hour. The minimum wage in MA is around $8, and the Federal minimum is $6+ and will go to $7.25 later this month.

    @airraid81

In many cases illegal aliens take the jobs from Black people and the American born children of both legal/illegal immigrants. The entry level jobs are a step up and this opportunity doesn't exist for many AMericans in the inner cities.

Illegal aliens come from many places including Ireland, Eastern Europe, the Middle East.

So what's the deal. Only white people are Americans?

Obama Is Back Up To 60%.

Obviously these numbers matter little when thinking about 2012 (that's a long ways off) but I do think it's important that Obama keeps his approval rating up high for political clout in getting true health care reform passed (anything without a public option is a failure because it allows the private insurance industry scam to continue with no alternative.)

Actually electing Obama was probably the best thing the Nation could have done in the last 30 years. It will once again insure that democratic control of everything leads to utter chaos and total dependency.

I'm not sure about this. If you listen to the Left, President Bush's low popularity didn't stop him from getting everything he wanted.

I'm beginning to believe that Presidential popularity is only significant to TV newshumans and water cooler discussions. As President Bush proved, it doesn't have any practical meaning.

Besides, President Obama is not in charge of U.S. domestic policy or the economy - Nancy Pelosi is clearly calling the shots.

    Hahahaha

    Nice try Z.

Linking to PresidentialCandidates.US? Their source is Gallup.

Give it up. Do you really think that your messiah is NOT losing popularity?

He doesn't even CARE what his health reform bill costs. Amended at midnite last night. The budget office can only say that there are ZERO savings and that healthcare costs will skyrocket.

His 5.4% tax increase on those individuals making over 500K will bring the tax rate to 57% in New York.

I can't believe you have the balls to support him.

Everyone that I know that voted for him (save for a few die hards) are quite regretful they did. You live, you learn... Problem is, most of these people were duped by his message of change and hope, all of which has turned out to be complete an utter bullshit.

Reality Based Update: Obama Has A 61% Approval Rating As Of Today.

Sorry silly conservatives, just because you keep saying something (obama is losing popularity, obama is losing popularity, obama is losing popularity) doesn't make it true. The facts dont' support your claims. But I guess that's nothing new for conservatives, is it?

    Z,

You silly boy... Did you catch a little spike? Obama must have promised you something else for free. Don't you worry. It won't take long for your friends to figure out that he's lying. I don't think you will ever admit it though.

Haven't we talked about Gallup enough for you? Get yourself some better data before you come back. People are laughing...

Obama has got it bad, his stimulus package is not stimulating. This is a big time for Republicans in the 2010 elections. I think that is a better question. No more filiabuster worries?

Gallup is *THE STANDARD* for Presidential approval ratings. It has been forever. If you want to compare one President's approval to another, you must use Gallup for it to have any meaning. I've explained this time and time again. This is why I use the Gallup #s. They are the #s with history.

I could use Research 2000 (DailyKos) numbers if I wanted #s which were higher for Obama, but I'd rather use the numbers with historical meaning and Gallup are those.

Although actually Obama is at 62% on the DailyKos poll right now, so that's about the same, but usually he's a few points higher over there.

Anyway - the point remains the same. Obama's popularity is not falling (at least not significantly.)

As far as all of the yammering about Obama doing a bad job. It's nothing but NOISE. Just shush. Let the adults take care of things. I swear I just think Obama and the rest of the Democrats need to put the Republicans on ignore. They are basically nothing but children at this point raising a fuss trying to get attention but making no sense and with no alternative plans. The "party of no" isn't going to work when the President is doing everything he can to fix the biggest problems facing America (and certainly health care is right there at the top of the problems list.)

It's amazing to me that anyone could even consider voting for a Republican at this point. It's willful ignorance to think that the Republicans have any clue how to run the country. (I mean run it for the good of anyone besides the corporations of course.)

Ha! You think the Republicans look good right now? You have got to be kidding. The Republicans are DONE for a very long time.
