In New Jersey they have figured that out. For instance there is a wholesale liquor tax of 6% levied when the liquor delievered. Then the customer pays a 7% sales tax. So what you end up with is a "tax on tax".

I always thought double taxation was illegal.

And most people are unaware of the huge tax increase. Seems like Obama always diverts the attention to something else when he is ready to fu*k this country some more.....oh wait make that the Obama media.

The investment magazines like Investment Business Daily, Barron's, etc. are all saying that the Pelosi's Waxman-Markey bill is the largest tax increase in U.S. history and will affect 100% of Americans.

The bi-partisan Congressional Budget Office recently stated that, as a result of Government spending over the past five months, the rapidly bloated federal debt is now growing dangerously faster than any healthy economy would.

I think it's unfair that President Obama will be blamed for Pelosi's tax schemes. I'd like to see him stand up and veto a spending bill that the Democrats in Congress send him.

The puppet masters won't let him do that Corwin, you know better.

Just the stimulus bill alone is going to cause the deficit he came into to double in 5 years and triple in 10. But the media chooses to talk about things that don't matter in the bigger scheme of things, like MJ dieing.

If you haven't known by now Obama is for increasing taxes. He lied during the campaign so he could get the moderate and some conservative votes. He is a true liberal at heart.

Ain't that the truth. As to who his handlers are is not sure but one thing is sure, Obama is the product of a well thought out and well orchitrated political machine. One that started out of my city and mushroomed to Washington.

His approval rating is at a record low 57% on Gallup. Hope that sucker keeps falling sharply.

Cap and trade just passed in the House of Rep.

In the US, cap and trade costs each household $1300 a year. Cap and trade is one of the largest tax increases in US history. It's expected to cost $600 billion over the next ten years.

And now he goes to the Senate with his big mouth telling them that "we cannot be afraid of the future."

I wonder what type of future is he talking about? The Obama future which has mortgaged our great grandchildrens wealth and make us subjects of our government?

It's only a usual thing to see nowadays a President of a country to be in a hot seat when everything seems not going well. Let's just see what Obama is up to as he takes the lead for his country to recover.

What hot seat? Christ has been on a thrown prior to and during his presidency. Never a day goes by that the main stream media says anything but great things about Barry Christ.

Obama is -2 in the polls. More people strongly oppose than strongly approve.

The latest from the Obama info Desk:

Both Prince Harry and Princess Nancy have said they will not give the American public the usual 10 days to review the health care bill when it comes to a vote this fall.

In other news Obama has told Nicaragua to restore a President who tried to circumvent the constitution. Yet he has nothing but silence for Iran who is killing off innocent people.

Actually Barry Obama told Honduras to restore leftist President Manuel Zelaya.

    Here's the thread:
    http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=1396274

Manuel Zelaya was attempting to pull a leftist coup against the Honduran Government similiar to what Hugo Chávez has done in Venezuela.

Hugo Chávez and the axis of evil lead a chorus of threats against Honduras. Here's the history of the most vocal.

    1. Hugo Chávez (president of Venezuela) - led a failed coup Venezuelan coup d'état in February 1992. Currently Chavez is President of Venezuela for life.
    2. Daniel Ortega (president of Nicaragua) - Sandinista Marxist member of the ruling multipartisan junta and was later elected president, serving from 1985 to 1990.
    Venezuela.
    3. Raul and Fidel Castro - Marxist co-presidents of Cuba for life.

Obama is up to 63% as of today.

The Teflon President just won't be taken down my friends. This guy is a brilliant politician, I must give him that. Now what's important is can he actually get some real progressive policies on the books? We need the public option in health care. We need real oversight of the banks. We need real environmental standards. Let's give it a go, jones.

    I'm game :)

I love how you dudes think that national health care is some untested idea when it's already been proven to be far more successful than our current system in many countries all around the world.

Have you ever been to England? I have. They love their health care system. Even the conservatives there consider it something to be proud of.

The arguments being made by folks against the public option in this country are just flat out juvenile. It's disturbing that folks can't get past this sort of "thinking."
