Obama and his teleprompter

Is Obama retarded or can he not say what is on his own mind? Last I heard Obama even used a teleprompter for an elementary school speech. Can he not think on his feet?

I think he is smart enough to learn from his predecessor on this issue.

Typical to divert the discussion to a past president when the present one is too horrible to defend.

What do you want? A president who can remember huge chunks of text or one that presents his views and policies clearly and coherently?

I fail to understand how the ability to remember massive amounts of text is in anyway indicative of ones ability to be president. I think you are focusing on entirely the wrong skill set.

A speech needs to be rehearsed. It needs to be structured, effective, and to the point. So if he uses a teleprompter to better assist him in getting his point across, then so be it.

Exactly. It is a script to be read by an actor. The "administration" tells the boy what to say and the boy says it.

You know it's almost a shame that you are too much of a coward to admit that you don't like his because he's black. Come on, boy, grow a pair and come out with it.

Like i have stated several times, being able to remember large amounts of text is not what is important. He probably also can't ride a unicycle, so what? What's important is that what he thinks and is planning to do is conveyed clearly and coherently, which, obviously, involves preparing it.

It's like baiting a fish. You focus on my "racist" remarks and ignore the substance of the topic.

Vitalbussiness, I DO love this country. Freedom of speech is a right too many citizens are afraid to exercise.

And here I thought being able to speak convincingly in an impromptu setting was one of the requirements for a skilled politician. Lets be honest. Without the teleprompters, he goes off script more often than Joe Biden, and starts talking about what he's really thinking, like re-distributing the wealth. Joe the Plumber caught him in such an unscripted moment. Bush may have had problems speaking the English language, but at least his message didn't change between scripted and unscripted moments. Most Americans had had enough of being treated like idiots. Who here remembers when he was telling us we needed the health care bill if we wanted the economy to recover. Who remembers when he told us free health care for everyone wouldn't cost the taxpayers a single red cent?

Here is one liberals and conservatives alike can get behind:

Obama on the Patriot act in 2005:

Obama on the Patriot act in 2010
Obama supports expanding the patriot act

I have addressed the "substance" of your posts in every post i have made, including the one you just quoted. Just because you refuse to counter it doesn't mean it hasn't been done. Go on, admit that you don't like black people. Ironically i'd respect you a lot more if you weren't a coward hiding behind the feigned outrage that the president can't remember massive amounts of text.

Obamanation, Obama isn't perfect. But just because you have a party line to toe doesn't mean you get a licence to invent things to be outraged over. My point, and my only point, is that it is unreasonable for the president, or anyone, to remember huge amounts of text and his ability to convey what his policies are clearly and concisely is far more important than being able to memorise pages of text.

This is probably the main problem with American politics. You are all just partisan droids. It doesn't mater what anyone does because if they aren't in the party you support they are wrong and if they are in the party you support they are right. It makes a mockery of the political system and it's something you should be ashamed of. You are all just toeing the line.

LoL. All just partisan droids or "typical Americans"? Didn't you just call someone a racist for using such a phrase in reference to black people?

To the meat of your point, I think you need to read up on what is happening in US politics right now. It would seem 40% of the nation has turned on both parties. Perhaps they are the true "typical Americans".

Good point... well, it will be once you show me where i said "typical americans". Show me and i promise i wont even mention the fact that americans aren't a race.

If you can't see the difference between highlighting an issue with american politics and saying "typical negro" then you have no intentions but dishonest ones. Be careful what you defend.

Can you stop putting things in quotes when i never said them, There's a good lad.

Well i'm glad you retracted your previous lie.

Sad that you are trying to claim that saying americans have a particular mindset when it comes to politics is in any way comparable to saying "typical negro"... let me guess, you hate lack people too? Perhaps you two could borrow some sheets and burn a cross for old times sake.

Between the two of us, you are the one who threw out an ethnic slur this thread. You are the one who was unable to figure out what "typical american", "typical negro", and "you are all partisan droids" all have in common. And now you add comedy as you walk it back a bit, trying to tell us "partisan droids" is not offensive. Let me tell you, as part of the ethnic group you stereotyped, I found it offensive.
