Let me explain in the language you will understand - Dude, it is God's will.. He decided that the fetus will not be going out of Womb. It's his destiny.

Why is it you have to be religious to want to protect human life?

 

Because those that seek to justify murder do so under the guise that organized religion is the foundation of everything that is wrong with the world. Sadly none of these people realize that some people actually make conscious independent decisions without the aid of anything spiritual or non-spiritual. Think about the common place terms for those against and for abortion. Pro-Life and Pro-Choice. I understand the "pro-life" thing. But what about "pro-choice". Let's call it what it is. "pro-death". I understand that people on the pro-death side call it "choice" because they hide their real beliefs under the mask of not wanting government to tell them what to do. Hence, "choice", as in we want to choose what we will do with our bodies. What they forget is that the body they are making the choice about is not theirs. Its the body of a human being, born or not.

Religion has little if any bearing on most people's pro-life standpoint. If anything, religion has more to do with influencing the pro-deathers.

Anyway, back on topic. I find it appalling, yet typical that democrats would seek to make a "stimulus" bill into a "spending" bill. Thus far all I have seen in the way of a stimulus is spending on abortions, birth control, stupid studies and tree hugging initiatives. Why not just buy every American a blow job, at least that would be mildly stimulating and better money spent than $250 million for "Hollywood".

I agree with Mia on this being an issue of protecting life. I just dont understand why 2 ignorant teenagers make the decision to have sex and she gets pregnant and just decides to kill the fetus without even a second thought. If shes too mature to deal with all the possible consequences of having sex then she shouldnt be having sex in the first place.

Its amazing that some people waste so much life on making light of this.
Id imagine most of these pro-abortion people would react very different if they could be taken back in time at the moment of their mother about to give birth and she was leaning towards abortion and about to do this in front of her son watching. I bet his or her view of this situation would change drastically.

 

Kids are either stupid, or our society lacks in two areas or both.

1. Teach kids to use RUBBERS (POPE needs to tell Catholics its ok to wear a rain coat and viking helmet to bed.

2. PARENTS need to PARENT.

Lets keep in mind that not everyone that gets pregnant does so because they were completely irresponsible, or were teenagers. Many people use abortion AS their birth control, for whatever reason. Rubbers, scissors and masturbation work far better IMO.

Peoples minds can and do change on this subject. I've often said when confronted with someone pro-abortion that they've "changed my mind", they "should be the poster child for abortion".

Just think if it were selective. I mean, imagine if we could tell in the womb if they were going to be a moonbat. I might change my mind again.

My biggest issue on this subject stems not from the moral issues, but the obviously legal issue surrounding the illegality of the Roe v Wade case. It should be overturned if for no other reason than because it was not legal. Regardless of the issue at hand, the actual root of the case which was that the Supreme Court took it upon itself to define when life begins rather than define what rights to privacy an individual has.

 

I dont care if two men or women decide to do their thing in the privacy of their house. But what I do care about is when I am told that I have to hire a gay/lesbian or the pastor of my church can be arrested for preaching from the bible that it is wrong.

Worse of all is the fact that my tax dollars are going to fund these same organizations that support the despicable lifestyle.
