Now that I'm officially a RAIDER at DP, i thought it would be appropriate (and relevant) to mention that the Oakland Raiders is a local Northern California Football team. Football as in US football -- not soccer (since most of DP members would have thought I was talking about "futbol" as its known in the rest of the world) The Oakland Raiders have become really crappy in recent years, although they are just a couple of Draft Choices away from becoming a playoff team --once Jamarcus Russell (rookie QB) develops to his potential. Those of us living in northern CA either they root for the Raiders or the San Francisco 49'ers. I do not follow either--- I HATE AMERICAN FOOTBALL -- Its boring to sit thru all the stupid beer commercials.....I don't even drink beer, dammit!!!
Hate to break it to you, but Jamarcus is one more bad season away from being a bust, and there is no reason to believe that the team around him is going to allow him to get any better. Not really his fault, they are just flat out a bad organization.
Adam, I won't disagree with you! The current Oakland team has sent at least ONE Raider fan (that I know of) to his very grave!!! (LOL)
