You also can do this… it is very simple….

If your site receives more than 20 million pageviews per month, then you also can do this and not only this, a google account manager can work with you to customize the adsense targeting to your site’s specific content.

    ;)

even peon publishers can use Adsense section targeting to get more relevant ads to their site.

Jesus christ, you are all missing the point.

Adsense arbitrage, or specifically the adsense arbitrage model that google banned accounts over works like this.

    1) You buy cheap adwords/ppc traffic.
    2) You send it to a page FULL of adverts, with minimal content below the fold.
    3) Users see nothing buy ads so they click the back button or they click an advert.

THIS is the model adsense have banned people for, it adds nothing to the user experience so they dont like it. Personally I don't care, what google thinks but if your landing page is using adsense as the advert provider then you are asking for trouble.

NYtimes is NOT doing arbitrage, they provide MASS amounts of quality content and monetize that traffic through adsense (and paid subs?)... notice how the content takes up 80% of the space and the adverts take up tiny amounts and they are below the fold.

Do google have double standards? YES. Is this a case of that? NO.

So Shab, you are the dumbarse here ;)
