No no... bin laden wasn't responsible for 9/11... it was Saddam! Keep the focus on saddam like bush wants
oh yeah, saddam not bin laden, forgot to watch fox news! yeah bin ladens nobody, just some joker Zarquawi was the real threat and we got him right? Bin Laden just realeases the videos, and then shortly thereafter a bunch of bombs go off and people die, he's harmless, He's better alive, people laugh at him ha ha funny guy.
You should read some of Bin Laden's speeches, and even those of others who support the cause. He calls the Us a paper tiger quite frequently. He uses this as a primary weapon against us in the rhetoric. What is better than to turn him into what he calls us? Islamists want action, not speeches. bin laden is incapable of acting right now. Seems very fitting that he has become what he calls us. you make the false assumption that the life or death of bin laden would prevent or cause this from happening. Personally, the focus should be on getting the cells that cause the actions, not the man who is the face of Al Qaida.
Those speeches create the "cells", his words spawn more fighters. His death wouldn't end all the violence but it would be huge victory
Speaking of, have you seen the text transcript fo the latest bin laden video? Take a look at this: http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/middle_east/4628932.stm It's hard to tell if that's bin laden or yo-yo, ferret and the usual liberals. The talking points between them all are so similar in nature, you could actually cut and paste most of bin laden's words into the forum as a response from one of these guys and not tell the difference. Personally, I'd be ashamed to have the same talking points as bin laden. I guess some think it's honorable.
It is kinda interesting when the terrorist leader has similar talking points to a political party in this country. Sign the name differently, change a few words and its a campaign speech. Its ashame that this isn't pointed out enough.
Which part? please quote for me the part about the aircraft carrier, that was pretty dumb Did he really think the war was over?
So how many years should we stay in Iraq, GTech, lorien, it was such a great Idea and great war, how many years of it staying right were it is now before it becomes a bad idea? 10, 15 , 20 years * what 1000 US soldiers, and like 10,000 iraqis a dead a year? Bin laden thinks its great we are there, as long as we are there he can write speeches about it and use it as a recruiting tool, oh I forget he is just joker
I can't speak for my distinguised friend Lorien, but I don't recall either of us ever saying it was great. Until a reasonable goal has been met that the Iraqi people can defend themselves from the people you otherwise want to take over their country. Make no mistake, I want them home today. But not at the risks of: 1) the iraqi people being left behind (some suggest again, because of 1991) to fend off terrorists that have come in from other countries to kill and murder them. 2) leaving a huge country destablized in the middle east. 3) hateful and spiteful liberals who want nothing more than an American failure and demonstrate time and again they care nothing about our military men and women. I suspect many military feel the same way, because reenlistments of soldiers wanting to return to Iraq are very high. You didn't read his latest talking points then, did you? Believe it or not, your talking points and bin ladens are very evily similar.
lol, GTech, are you still going circles with the left? You know you can't debate a fool right? When you ask a Liberal a question you are simply providing an opportunity to speak.
I agree that the people who actually leak this information should be prosecuted to the fullest. However, if in the end it turns out the reporters who did the story paid for it (as happens many times in this type of case), then I think that the reporters and NYTimes should also be prosecuted.
