Nursing software - How to market this?

You can start off with adwords to drive targeted traffic to your site.

 

i would hire a field executive to do this kinda stuff, i wouldn't put much effort into online marketing.

 

Write a sales script catering to the decision makers in a nursing office. Then get a list of offices around the country and make some calls. Tweak as necessary. Try to setup office visits where a salesman can demonstrate the software. Close the sale.

Then once you have a good script, turn over the telemarketing to a call center.

Repeat until all offices are using your software.

 

Find some nursing/medical sites which have best results in search engines and go for Link Exchange with them or buy the links.

 

In addition to the telemarketing suggestion, I think that you should consider a PR campaign for leading medical technology and nursing journals. Also look into medical care technology trade shows that are within reach of you. Finally, you could consider advertising in appropriate trade journals or renting mailing lists of their subscribers and sending out a mail piece.

I was just wondering - did you develop this software yourself, or are you an affiliate?

The reason I ask - I know someone who started her own business with some sort of software for medical offices - quickly became a multimillion dollar business. (In fact, I hope to ask her for an interview for my blog - which is still in the planning stage right now).

I won't be seeing her for a couple of weeks, but I could ask her for suggestions when I do see her.

I'd work out your competitive edge before you do any promotion. Why should a nursing unit use your software rather than what they've already got? With a solid answer to that question you have some valuable ammunition.

 

I won't be seeing her for a couple of weeks. I can tell you that she worked on site (a local hospital). After a few years, she sold the business for a very good profit.
