It's unreal. This is EXACTLY the kind of thing the medieval quote said.

SO let me get this straight: Pope quotes very old text that labels Islam brings "evil and inhuman" things. To protest that statement, Islamic radicals shoot a nun, which can be described as nothing less than evil and inhuman.

This is absolutely crazy. And there are STILL people out there that sympathize with these people.

It blurs the lines of what is "radical" and what is normal behavior in islam. Wherever the supposed "peaceful" muslims are, it's becoming quite apparent that "they" are the "tiny minority."

muslims will not be outraged over this. Instead, they will use the usual excuse of "this doesn't represent all" as a diversionary tactic, rather than stand up with outrage.

Then of course, there is the dhimmi crowd who believe that being aware of what happened is not politically correct

Takes a real "brave" mujahadeen to kill a helpless nun whose probably never had an evil thought in her life. If they aren't hiding behind women and children when fighting, they murder the helpless and kindest the world has to offer. No surprise here.

I must take the time to acknowledge and praise this Pope. And as an Independant (very independant) Fundamental Baptist, I call to mind the magnificent similarities that do exist between true Christian faiths.

I cannot think of another faith that has had so many dedicated martyrs throughout the ages than the Catholic Church.

So many speak of it's blood, the blood on it's hands. How very convenient.

The rank and file of the Catholic Church have helped to spread not only Christianity but compassion. They have given their lives and here by example have yet again given their lives for love of Christ and people.

Let us celebrate her life and sacrifice by remembering why, and how, and, most importantly, by whom, we are 'Christians.'

    IN His Holy Name

I do agree, though the pope has mentioned in his inauguration speech that every non-roman-catholic Christian Church is a sect.
I do understand that this pope has problems with the right articulation. If it's not then he's to be denied.

For the people as you mentioned above you're 100% correct

That is not the way of true islam, thats a bastardized version used to justify their violence.

Well folks, don't let these atrocities stop you from researching. On judgement day we will all still be accountable. Take your knowledge of Islam from true sources and I guarantee that you will soon understand clearly that none of the random incidents being posted about here are sanctioned by Islam.

Here is a starting place to begin your true study of Islam

I keep telling you morons. You need the correct information just as much as the mosques do. Worry about what you're sending for your own graves more than your worry about the mosques.

Translation: "Ignore these things, you are infidel, they are not issue for you. We are here to teach you to pretend they didn't happen. Do not worry about all these bad things, prepare for your graves because islam is coming."

Thanks bud, I'll pass. It's not us infidels who need the info, it's your buds who put these things into action. Clean up your own mess, then worry about the PR campaign for the infidels when you have something to back it up.

My message was extremely clear. They did happen. So what?

Let me restate in different words what sending forward for the graves means:

We have explained in detail in this Qur'an, for the benefit of mankind, every kind of similitude: but man is, in most things, contentious. And what is there to keep back men from believing, now that Guidance has come to them, nor from praying for forgiveness from their Lord, but that they ask that the ways of the ancients be repeated with them, or the Wrath be brought to them face to face? We only send the apostles to give Glad Tidings and to give warnings: But the unbelievers dispute with vain argument, in order therewith to weaken the truth, and they treat My Signs as a jest, as also the fact that they are warned! And who doth more wrong than one who is reminded of the Signs of his Lord, but turns away from them, forgetting the deeds which his hands have sent forth? Verily We have set veils over their hearts lest they should understand this, and over their ears, deafness, if thou callest them to guidance, even then will they never accept guidance. (Qur'an 18:54-57)

Verily, We have warned you of a Penalty near, the Day when man will see the deeds which his hands have sent forth, and the Unbeliever will say, "Woe unto me! Would that I were mere dust!" (Qur'an 78:40)

Sorry, I'm not intimidated in the least bit by scriptures from the quran.

Tell your buds to stop killing people in the name of your religion. Helpless nuns and little girls for "honor's" sake.

Kind of gets old, especially when people keep trying to pawn it off as "peaceful."
