    Hallelujah!

I couldn't agree more. Treat it like a hobby and you'll make the money of a hobby. Treat it like a serious business and you'll make the money of a business!

    So simple yet so overlooked!

I started off making money like it was a hobby because I only treated it like one.. it was something I did in my spare time.

Now that I know I can take my hobby to the next level, I treat it like a business :D I'm seeing results right away.

Inspirational read OP, thanks for posting.

I just wrote an article for Im'ers looking to be successful that hit on all the same key points. Treat it like a business and carry that mindset through all the long hours of hard work. Don't look at how much money you hope to make, look at offering something that solves people's problems and the earnings will naturally follow. This has been proven time and time again.

Agree | You need to have a plan - something to keep things on track. As well as goals, that are attainable.
(if you never made money on-line i wouldnt make a goal to make $10,000 in month, start with $1,000/month or even better $300-$500)

I agree RE patience. What astounds me is that were you to train to be say a pharmacist (or whatever), you'd have to do the following:

    1. Invest thousands in your education
    2. Spend YEARS in (unpaid) learning
    3. Graduate and then try to find a job that probably pays under $50,000 to start (for most careers)

That's the "normal" way that most people get started in life, and they accept it.

On the internet, you can start with a limited budget and with the same level of application be earning a very decent income within 6 to 12 months. However, many people try something, but if a week later they've not seen sensational results...get disillusioned and leave. It's quite unfortunate, as the internet offers the best lifestyle imaginable for those who have the patience and dedication to see it through. I earnt under $50 a month when I first started my business almost a decade ago...I dread to think what would have happened if I just gave up.

But the problem is that most people who take up internet marketing need cash now...which is unfortunate
