Need a clear answer on this technical question. When using google adword tool it tells you the traffic it gets, (low, avg, high) and the adword competition (low, avg, high). Now does that adword competition bar mean how many people are trying to win that keyword (organically), or just how many people are bidding on it for adwords? I ask because I see some phrases with low traffic, and zero competition, but have 500k+plus SERPS. Clearly one of these indicates how many people are attempting to win this word..but which one? Advanced: If you alter the syntax of a phrase on google adwords tool and use paranthesis you'll get different results. So you can SEO Monster Trucks Free, and if someone types that exact sequence in you're more likely to come up than someone who SEO'ed for Free Monster Trucks...correct? thx
then how can you tell competition for a certain keyword or phrase? by its SERPS? Im thinking thats not the way either cause I'm ranked well for a term with 500k results but little links for it
Doesnt wordtracker have a competition based tool for kw?... IBL's are key of course for competition measurement...500k results BTW is a very low competition kw or kw phrase...
sorry I meant million..but yeah if it shows 500 mill results but its easy to win...SERPS might not be the way to determine this..Anyone just use the google adword tool for keyword competition in general? I might start
