Right now I'm posting to my two blogs about two times a day. However, they are only about two months old and I'm getting little traffic, one is in science the other is finance. If I keep up with two posts a day, maybe even increase it to three times a day, will my traffic pick up? I hear that Google loves fresh content.
Many factors to consider here... Are your articles SEO'ed? How competitive are the keywords you are targeting? Sure, posting more might boost your traffic but you should consider working on a variety of traffic sources that would be more effective as compared to spending too much time posting too often. My two cents.
Depends on how much the content is useful? If you write fresh content on regular basis it should surely help you in generating traffic.
I think there is no option but to write orginal articles. If you can persist on originality then you will get good result in the end. Keep patience. Wait at least 6 months, you will get lots of traffic. All the best!
You could add a twitter or digg button to your posts. That way if people like your post they will tweet or stumble it for you. You can get some good traffic from social sites like this
All good advice thanks. The hardest part I have is the SEO since my thoughts kind of free flow, then I have to go back and look at keywords.
yes, google love fresh content, especially original and quality content that are SEO. However at a rate of 2 articles daily, you won't see results for awhile unless you increase the output. Also you must work on promoting and building traffic.
Beside a fresh content, the other factor is the quality of the article itself. The quality is meaning as on page seo optimize and off page seo optimize.
I always hand write a the list of keywords I am targeting and have them laying on my desk with the notes I am using to write the article. That way every time I look down I'm seeing the keywords so they are fresh in my mind while I'm typing. Paragraphs flow more naturally than when I used to go back and find places to stick the keywords.
