    Hello

I have noticed that the number of pages indexed by Google keeps changing drastically. I went from about 800 that was steady for a long time, then it jumped to 6800, and now it keeps going from 6800 to 120, then back to 6800 and so on. Googlebot seems to be on my site 24/7. As soon as a new post or article is up, the bot is there checking it out. Anybody have any ideas as to what is going on?

    Thanks
    David

Dont worry about it. It will go up and down and up and down and up and down. You may just want to not check it as often so you wont notice the changes. :)

I believe I noticed it in another post, but Matt Cutt's blog (http://www.mattcutts.com/blog/jagger-2-update-info/) talks about the 3 pronged update. This is why your numbers are jumping around. Expect it to occur through next week according to them.

Speaking of Matt Cutt ... while reading the latest Google patent, I noticed he was actually one of the "inventor's"! I guess I did not realize I was reading a genius' blog. hehe
