When I make link exchanges I have a page with links. Now I've read on this forum that some people put 10 links on a page, or 20.What is the best number ? Is it good if I have a page with 30 links ? This page can harm my rankings ? Thanks
There are many guys who have a specific links page. As long as you do not link to ' bad neighbourhoods' and keep your outbound links to a decent number, it should do not harm.
If you organise your links page like this you can have up to 100 (i think thats what is recommended as most on a page by google), most people normally have around 20 - 30 per page. Dont forget you should probably also consider in-site links that are on the page such as site navigation etc.
Google mentioned to keep the total amount of links under 100: http://www.google.com/support/webmasters/bin/answer.py?answer=35769 However, some pages enjoy high rankings even with hundreds of outgoing links... such as forum frontpage.. Just make sure the links are relevant and you will be fine
if you see 20 outbounds per page then leave that site because you will not get any benefit from that site. i advise you to find less then 10 outbounds sites.
Some SEO experts have claimed that links page should be integrated into a written paragraphs of text though I think that's far too troublesome.. I think 20 links per page would be alright.
